Thanks for making my point for me....
2 times in 5 years isn't exactly rare. It's close to 50%.

it's even closer to 40%...
....which is incidentally the same as the percentage of playoffs that the P12 has had a participant.
Coincidentally— 40% of the time is when the 4 seed wins the NattySo, hardly rare then.
So, hardly rare then.
I'm honestly not a fan of the FCS cupcake every year before the CCG, but I'm not so up in arms over it. You're not wrong, that is a gauntlet from hell, but there'd be nothing said if you were playing Arkansas or Vandy the week before Bama, which would basically be the same.
To be fair, OSU is looking at a likely scenario where we play top 10 PSU, top 15 michigan, and (if we win those two games) top 10 Minnesota in 3 straight weeks.
Auburn was toast regardless so it isn't a negative and I would argue it's additional insurance the teams that should be there are there. No way Auburn gets healthy enough to make a run in the playoff so we had no business going.
The negative part is that very few teams can play Georgia, Alabama and then Georgia in a month's time and stay healthy. You guys make fun of us for playing a cupcake between Georgia and Alabama but no one considers that if we didn't Auburn would literally have 3 weeks of Georgia, Alabama and then the SECCG. Nobody makes it through that gauntlet.
Fool proof way to keep Bama out:
Oklahoma, Baylor, Oregon and Utah all fuck up. UGA wins out and beats LSU in the SECCG.
Your playoff would be:
1. Ohio State
2. Clemson
3. UGA
4. LSU
I sent know if you had Seseme Street in Ge9 as a child, but they had a sing-song segment about which thing doesn't belong with the others.
I've identified the correct answer.
Not gonna lie, Clemson scares me more than any other team in the nation. If we can beat Penn State, michigan, and win the CCG all impressively like we've been winning, I think we end up #1. Let LSU deal with Clemson.I think that 3 game run is going to help hugely in getting the #1 seed. It is getting vastly overlooked but there is a huge difference in playing the 4th team and play the 3rd team which is likely Clemson.
If my team looked like Ohio State, I wouldn’t be scared of any team. If y’all are gonna lose, it’ll be because y’all beat yourselvesNot gonna lie, Clemson scares me more than any other team in the nation. I'd like to think you're right, and I am confident in OSU going up against any team in the nation. However, when the lights are brightest, Dabo has shown the ability to come through and get his team up. It's also not like you can ignore the elite talent all over that roster. If my team looked like Ohio State, I wouldn’t be scared of any team. Ohio State-Bama and UGA-Oklahoma are pretty much itI may have to eat these words, but at least it seems to be shaping up for two good semifinal games. We haven't had a lot of those yet in the CFP.

Dunno what you're talking about, OSU-Oregon was the shit.Ohio State-Bama and UGA-Oklahoma are pretty much it

I remember going into the playoff having little doubt FSU was going to be routed. I think any playoff team, along with TCU, Michigan State, and Baylor would've smoked them.So was Oregon-FSU!
