I don't think Auto was banned. I think he was busy with work and kids.

Sly got pissed off when someone else was banned and left.

I know Elocomotive was offering to represent some banned posters to try to get them back but his hourly rate was too high.

That is a blatant, outlandish, and preposterous allegation, good sir.

I just know I'm not any good and didn't want them to get into more, as we say in the legal community, hot water.

I reckon it's just a negotiating tactic, I don't think Tanev is going anywhere...

On first blush Alfredsson's press-conference looked like something out of an optics nightmare for the Senators. Alfredsson spoke at length about his community work

imo, it kind of was also the bold above for Alfie ... he came out guns a blazin against Melniyks treatment and talking about the supposed promises

and to hold this pr event at this mental health facility to "bring attention to mental health issues" (since his own sister suffers from them) is contrived and gets lost when he brings out the double barrels on the franchise

Addressing a gaggle of reporters at the Royal Mental Health Hospital's Carling Avenue location, Alfredsson discussed his time in Ottawa at length.

There's Melnyk's out. "Guy's clearly nuts."

And teams signing old guys to contracts no one expects them to finish? UNPOSSIBLE.

""At the conclusion of the press conference Alfredsson artfully tied a bow around his tenure as a Senator and the dawn of a new age in his career in Detroit. "This summer we feel like we did all those years ago when we first came to Ottawa," Alfredsson said, "excited and a little bit nervous."

Multiple Personality Disorder? :noidea:

Alfredsson explains move to Detroit and GM Murray responds

NHL deputy commissioner Bill Daly told The Ottawa Citizen Thursday afternoon that the league doesn't intend to investigate on whether or not the Senators intentionally circumvented the salary cap with Alfredsson's previous contract.

"I would say that if negotiations went down precisely as Daniel described (them), that would be a concern," Daly stated in an email to The Citizen. "We haven't independently verified that, and at this point we don't intend to."

anyway that was the quote from Daly on the circumvention. I translated a little here

"I would say that if negotiations went down precisely as Daniel described (them), that would be a concern," Daly stated in an email to The Citizen. "We haven't independently verified that, and at this point we don't intend to, we only punish Vancouver for trying to circumvent the cap even though it was legal at the time, other teams we mostly ignore."[
