Seven years - I figured he'd only need 4 more to get his jersey in the rafters

He'll eventually go somewhere else and then come running back. They apparently love that.

"For anyone to even suggest the remote possibility that Bryan Murray is not fully honest in his clear recollection of events should be ashamed of themselves," Melnyk told TSN on Friday. "I point the finger squarely on JP Barry, the man who blessed us with the (Dany) Heatley mess."

Our favo(u)rite forensics owner is hopping mad...

Sens' Melnyk blames agent Barry for Alfredsson's exit

"For anyone to even suggest the remote possibility that Bryan Murray is not fully honest in his clear recollection of events should be ashamed of themselves," Melnyk told TSN on Friday. "I point the finger squarely on JP Barry, the man who blessed us with the (Dany) Heatley mess."

Uhhhhh, Gene. You probably don't want to bring up that incident when discussing Murray's integrity. Yeah, Heatley was a wuss for wanting out, but it was Murray that barfed that shit all over the news, not Dany.

Maybe, if you want to point to an example of Murray's integrity, you should discuss the way he clearly communicated with Chara during the...

Or maybe the way he completely had the Ray Emery situation under contr-

Maybe you should just be quiet here. I seriously doubt that anyone really believes Murray is innocent and the agent is soleley to blame. Murray is a notoriously bad communicator.

Well, with Detroit in the East this season, Sens fans will have several chances to let Alfie know what they think of him...

Man, Don Brennan is a real piece of work - I mean, is this really necessary?

Without repeating Alfredsson's chronology of how it all went down, the bottom line is he would have been handsomely rewarded had he stayed put. As well paid as he will be with the Red Wings? Maybe, or maybe a few hundred thousand shy of that. So a guy who has earned between $60-70 million from the Senators is going to a dump like Detoilet -- and if you have ever visited Motown's downtown, you can't object to that classification -- over a measly mil

Alfie, Murray, Melnyk, Barry ... all of them deserve to be criticized for the way this ended | Senators | Sports | Ottawa Sun

You know, just because the guy has a speech impediment is no reason to pick on him.

Not sure why you keep forgetting this but Murray was NOT the GM who dealt with the Chara-Redden situation.

As for Murray carrying some of the blame? I actually think he is blameless here. This unfortunate situation is more likely because of Melnyk than it is Murray.

I wish Ottawa was on the coast so that there be that slim chance that rogue wave or Tsunami would take Brennan and Garrioch away never to be seen again. Brennan is the same guy who lambasted MUrray for picking a slightly built Swedish defenseman 15th overall. Man... the Ottawa Sun.
