Whats eating Gilbert brule???

A bit messed up still. Hope he can figure things out

The resurrection of Gilbert Brule

I was into it right up until here:

But they forget I have some skill, which is why I was drafted where I was.”

HAD some skill. And you failed to live up to the hype. Nobody owes you anything, you little shit. Take your shot now, but you need to fucking earn it. And your performance in the past gives you a much shorter leash than everyone else. Deal with it.

still has the skill ... the will is the obvious question

still think he can develop into a Dan Cleary type if he can deal with things

not gonna be a canuck though ... at canuck state of the union, Mike Gillis was asked if there were any plans to sign him and Gillis said he would be "a redundant piece"

ouch

Interesting that Brule alludes to the Oilers training staff rushing him back into the lineup - Same thing that Souray said and other players have alluded to as well.

The big knock I heard from here was he had a sense of entitlement. Like he didn't have to work like everyone else. Sounds like he hasn't gotten over that.

3rd line centers are a dime a dozen. And he isn't anything more than that. Actually, by now he'll be lucky if he is that.

Grabovski update:

Free agent centre Mikhail Grabovski is close to landing with a new NHL home.

Sources close to Grabovski's situation tell TSN Hockey Analyst Aaron Ward that he is down to choosing between three NHL teams for next season.

Ward adds that contrary to reports, the Winnipeg Jets are not among them.

The Toronto Maple Leafs bought out Grabovski on July 4 after putting the veteran forward on unconditional waivers and the move made him an unrestricted free agent. The buyout also freed up $5.5 million of cap space for the Leafs.

The 29-year-old had four years remaining on his $27.5-million contract, which he signed in March 2012. Grabovski struggled on the scoresheet this past season, recording just nine goals and seven assists in 48 games.

In 367 career games, Grabovski has 94 goals and 123 assists.

Blake Price ‏@blakeprice1040 now Very well said RT @farhandevji: If Gilbert Brule is "redundant," what does that make Zach Hamill? #Canucks

True. As anti-NYC as I am, I wouldnt want MSG to go. Maybe its my passion for wrestling that makes me want to keep it. Not the Rangers, thats for sure.

Blue Jackets foundation and local Parks and Rec got together to turn this:

Into this:

And if that's not enough, they gave an additional 500k to buy all new gear for youth hockey programs. Every team at every level just ordered one full brand new set of Itech goalie gear.

Minnesota Wild claiming to have lost $30 million last season.
- with the $20m in bonuses to the new recruits, i can see a loss,
but that means they lost $10 mill on top of that.... they still sell out the building, no?
new cap gives them 50% of revenue? something's amiss.
