Interesting little tidbit, first time since the last lockout all of the original 6 teams make the playoff.

Not that it really matters.

Not going to happen. The Isles will likely play the Pens in round 1.

I actually hope Brodeur stands on his head today & the Pens face the Rangers. Don't expect it to happen though.

Regulation win for Bruins and I'll be at my first Penguins playoff game since 1998!

Actually, as long as tonight isn't a 3 point game, I'll be happy. Ottawa vs. Montreal would also be killer to go see.

Too bad about the BJs, I was really pulling for them.

new team for Ryan Whitney next season

Whitney leaves very frustrated. "I'm not going to name any names, but there were definitely some other guys who could have been scratched."

Mason stood on his head last night. Where was this when he was in CBJ the last few years?

Want to wish the Oilers best of luck in the future. Met a lot of great people and made some life long friends during my time in Edmonton

a lot to look forward to with that bunch. :suds:
except Jack Johnson, of course. He sucks.

and that record puts you into a tie for 7th in the East, fwiw.

That doesn't really help. :P

Like I said before, I can't be too upset about it considering where they expected to finish. Going down to the last game against a team without enough cap space to buy a Cadillac and one that is the model for how a franchise should be built is not a terrible fate.

Yeah, I could bitch about disallowed goals and the fucking spinorama in a shootout (one God damned point. ONE). But bottom line, this team made me proud. Had the greedy owners gotten shit done a week or two sooner and had five more games on the schedule...

Next year, should be more of the same, I hope. Except they will have a camp and should be downright angry to start. You have to expect that Aucoin and Prospal will either be subtracted or limited. But Ryan Murray and Boone Jenner should fit right in there. Might like to see one more scoring threat from a wing, but overall I think that Jarmo has a good hand to play next year.

He had flashes of that, and always had the talent. He just never listened to coaching. Jeff Reese said he was excited to work with him, and I hope he can turn it around. I didn't watch to see any specific tweaks in his game, but the foundation is there.

He took a huge paycut down to 1.5M to resign with the Flyers. In a way it could be Mason for Bob if everything works out for Mason is Philly. I think both teams would be happy with it.

start counting the money now Alex

Tim Panaccio ‏@tpanotchCSN now Dont be surprised if Flyers try an RFA offer sheet to StL' Pietrangelo this summer. After last summer, they MUST fix the defense

How many compliance buyouts are they allowed?

They are currently almost 4 mil over the cap next year, already.
