What's not said is that this photo was taken 10 minutes into the 3rd period of a tie game against the defending champs.

Columbus Blue Jackets - Tropp loving life in Columbus - Columbus Blue Jackets - News

Article on Corey Tropp's coming to the Jackets.

Interesting thing, apparently Jarmo Kekeleinen wanted the Blues to draft Tropp in 07, but they didn't.

Wonder what the heck Jarmo saw in him, because he has been awesome for the Jackets since getting here. He leads the Jackets in +/-.

And makes me wonder who else Jarmo wants to get and why.

Way to go Twatwaffle!

COSTA MESA, Calif. — Nick Foligno has three goals in the Blue Jackets’ past two games, none of which has been a game-winner.

But you might call them game-clinchers.

On Monday night, Foligno scored at 8:48 of the third period to push the Jackets’ lead to 3-1 over Anaheim, a game they won 4-2 at the Honda Center.

So that third goal wasn't the game winner, porty?

Was going through Slava Voynov's game logs for this season, and yikes - he has gone 39 games without a goal(almost three months since his last goal) and just one goal in his last 50 games - it's not just the forwards who aren't scoring for the Kings - the defensemen aren't helping

Rangers and Oilers tonight. Guaranteed they look like the Oilers of the 80's tonight against us.

FLAMES WORKING TOWARDS CONTRACT EXTENSION WITH D RUSSELL

Kris Russell could be sticking around in Calgary.
TSN Hockey Insider Bob McKenzie tweeted that it's believed the Flames are working towards a new contract with the defenceman.
The deal isn't complete yet but McKenzie said it is heading in that direction.
Russell, a pending unrestricted free agent, has four goals and 19 points in 41 games with the Flames this season.
In eight seasons the former third-round pick has 27 goals and 114 points

Yes, I like it if they keep the term to 3 years or less and the dollars to $3 million or less. I really like Russell and he has played great this season, but let's not go crazy either.

Agreed. He's played well since joining the Flames. Always liked Russell. Has he been playing top 4 minutes?

He has been playing top 4 minutes because he's a top 4 defenceman on the Flames (in case you haven't noticed, the team isn't very good this year). Ideally, I see Russell as a very good 5-6 defenseman who can slot into a top 4 role when injuries deplete the defense corps.

Not to take a shot at your team, but I know their not that good. No offense, Dash.

I ask, because, I know he is capable of top 4 minutes, just wondering if you think he's better suited for that or on the bottom pair? But, you answered that already above, so I know the answer.
