aka the Edmonton Oilers rule

Actually, I would call this the Edmonton Oilers - Connor McDavid rule - Let's loosen up the odds for a potential generational player. That said, the continued incompetence of the Oilers should not be rewarded with continual high draft picks.

Good point. The league isn't going to want it's next marketing darling to be ruined in Edmonton.

I would imagine they are already storyboarding the "Passing the torch" segments.

All I know is that the current system has to be revamped because a fan should never be in a situation where they cannot enjoy a win by the team they happen to root for - Case in point, the Flames have won five in a row and all that means is that their first round pick will likely be a lot worse. Put all 14 non-playoff teams into a fedora and draw them out one-by-one. No tanking on purpose because everybody is on a even playing field and it's all the luck of the draw.

The current rules will always Be known as the Daigle rule

Honestly, you're not giving enough credit to Weise. He's actually a really good 4th line player. He's been pretty solid since going to Vancouver. And a 4th liner I would take on the Rangers right now.

he was?

Jason Botchford @botchford
Booth used to joke Weise with No. 32 was a lil bit daniel and a lil bit Henrik. He's all Daniel now, moving on to No. 22

too bad for Weise that the #Canucks wanted more Rob Ray from him and Dale gave them Marc Chouinard

What is really bad here is that there are TWO MORE Penguins out of frame.

They had five D-men on the ice at once.

Yeah, that was bad. Part of the reason was because Malkin was taking the puck up ice, was tripped, and play went back to the D-zone. They thought it was going deep, could do a fire-wagon change...diddddn't quite work out.

Fraser: Why Leafs' Kadri didn't get called for hit on Ceci

Also, not sure if anybody saw this tweet:

Damien Cox @DamoSpin
NHL will take no added discipline against Nazem Kadri for his Saturday night hit on Cody Ceci.

So there it is folks, a repeat offender gets a pass on a dangerous hit from behind I presume because Ceci wasn't injured.

I liked what I saw from him more with Vancouver than he provided from us.

1) Why would someone do that intentionally?
2) He gives no reason.
3) Just a bizarre accusation.

I just think he's still really shaken up about that incident because it was someone(Vladdy) who was really close to him - but I do agree with the parts about how the limo wasn't made the right way(no seatbelts in it) - maybe there was something lost in translation, he might have meant that the guy was responsible for what happened, not necessarily that it was intentional, but who knows
