Isles are going to be sad when they won't be able to get a decent enough 1st round pick for him - just like the Vanek situation, they've put theirselves in a corner and everyone knows they have to move them now so they're probably not going to get what they want

I think the Vanek deal will get done by tomorrow. We'll see. Garth isn't going to have a problem getting a good return for AMAC. He can slide into a top 4 spot on almost any contender. His contract makes him very coveted by any team he believes they have a shot.

They will flip Vanek for a goalie, IMO. Anaheim wants Vanek, they will part with 1 of the 4 to land him. They can afford it.

Honestly though, I'm not sure that the Ducks need a guy like Vanek - I would think they'd be aggressive towards getting a shut down defenseman

Name one shutdown stud defenseman on the trade market? If there was one the Ducks would acquire him. Sorry, but there isn't a Pronger or Niedermayer available.

I'm not sure they need him either, but he'd put them over the top, and they probably have the assets to pull it off.

Oh, no, Pronger is absolutely available. Have a Cup-winning defensive powerhouse for just a single first rounder!

If I was the Ducks, I'd seriously consider trading Luca Sbisa for Pronger straight up right now.

/You did say a single first rounder. Ok, you want Bryan Allen instead?

Welp Erat finally scored his 1st goal of the season. Unfortunately it was against his own team.

Hickey draws the Isles to within one with 7 seconds left in the 2nd period.

Tom Wilson ties it! We finally got a lucky bounce off the boards right to Tom in front of the net

The new guys, Julien Broullette and Patrick Wey, both picked up an assist on Wilson's 2nd NHL goal

OV's 40th gives the Caps the lead, it's under review.

Edit: and it counts!

Who was he cheap-shotting when he accidentally kicked it in?

Vanek okay? Heard rumor that he was banged up. That'd be awful.
