Oilers have claimed Steve MacIntyre off waivers - MacT said that after Saturday's game it's clear that we need a deterrent.

Kassian's response: "Perfect. I don't think he can skate, that's the last thing on our mind."

and Ben Eager has pretty explicitly threatened to 'go after' our star players.
really Ben? this changes your game plan how?

By the way, the last time Eager "went after" Kassian, he missed 9 games with a concussion and was put on waivers.

Pierre LeBrun ‏@Real_ESPNLeBrun 4m Technically speaking, told that Leafs could be cap compliant on opening night without a trade but it would mean bare bones roster (20)...

The tinfoil hat group that I have a guest membership with is wondering why no team submitted an offer sheet for Franson.

Speaking of :L - Twatwaffle has been allowed near a keyboard again.
Bumps, Lumps And A Loss | BlueJackets Xtra

Side dishes:
-- Ville Leion, Zemgus Girgensons and Mikhail Grigorenko scored for the Sabres, while defenseman Mike Weber had three secondary assists. Girgensons' goal was an empty netter with 47 seconds remaining.

How the fuck do you get Girgensons and Grigorenko right but miss Lieno?

Should I point out that you spelled it wrong while criticizing him for spelling it wrong?

and just to be clear ... im not crapping on Lebrun who has it right ... I was talking about the toronto centric local media there ... was listening to Mike Richards earlier and 4 people phoned in and asked ... "are you still allowed to bury contracts in the minors and not have them count against the cap?"

He and Dave Bastl seemed to be getting perturbed at constantly having to answer YES to that question :L

Mike Smith, hair puller. Also, I like to know how David Jones could avoid contact with Smith when Ekman-Larsson is holding him and guiding him right into Smith.

/Smith is way too volatile to play goal for Canada in Sochi.

to be fair :noidea: David jones has frosted tips so this may have confused/prompted Smith to begin his animalistic mating ritual

FTFY

Let's not forget that this guy has had exactly ONE above average season as a starter. That was done under perhaps the best coach in the league in terms of defensive systems.

He's a decent goalie but Price, Luongo and Ward should all be ahead of him by a wide margin.

I'm not saying he's a not a good goalie. His career stats just indicate that he hasn't been one over the course of his career.
