Pretty nice for a guy who had only slightly better stats than Ryan Johansen in the regular season, and only half the number of points in the playoffs in double the number of games.

Good player. Too much money. He's a core player but I think that $6 M is about what he's worth. With an increasing cap it shouldn't be a problem though.

Woof. If he goes back to the guy from 2013 postseason run, that's one thing. But, stats wise? I dunno...depends on the cap really.

It's a lot of money but you have to look at the whole package. 69 points, +39, good in the faceoff circle, plays 2 way hockey, he's 2nd line center but could easily be a number 1, the guy is an all around great player. If the cap bumps up in the coming years and $7 million becomes the new $5 million it's not a bad deal.

Glad they included Johansen. No matter what deal he signs, he is putting a heap of pressure on himself.

Can't say I agree with #5. Just because a player scores a big contract by doing what he's asked, I don't think it immediately puts pressure on him to perform better. He made his contract by playing one way. You should pretty much only expect him to play exactly the same way. I don't think Subban will fall off.

2 and 3 are obvious. Way beyond hot seat. Is "Against the wall with rifles pointed" a category?

No real indications of Pete Deboer being on the hot seat but struggling early on and potentially missing the playoffs again has to be it for him.
