Today I learned two things in the NHL. Cam Atkinson is on the lightning and there are two Geekies?

Those were some horrible Bedard trades in the last thread.

Bedard will be traded for: Marchessault, Novak, Jankowski and all 3 firsts the Preds have next year (not lottery protected).

Edited to add Saros.

I need the Sharks to not win too many games early. Keep the ticket prices down for when I’m going

So I was ok with this one

CTE in hockey is exaggerated. Don Cherry told me as long as you keep your head up, play hard every shift, and stand up for your teammates - then you will never get hurt.

Okay, Jacob Trouba:

Hearing Rangers do have several options, but Trouba can block with his partial no-trade. Rangers have indicated they will waive him if he does not accept one. One team is believed to be Columbus.

This is absolute hardball, but there is a precedent. In November 2005, Todd Marchant refused to waive his no-trade from Columbus to Anaheim as part of the Sergei Fedorov deal. So the Blue Jackets waived him, and the Ducks made the claim to "complete" the transaction.

We will see what the day brings

I think they're still interested in Pettersson from the Pens, but Pittsburgh has been playing well of late and that has likely cooled the prospect of any trade right now.
