I think there's a very good chance Mariota becomes an Eagle from what I'm hearing. I didn't think this way until recently and I think Chip will give up whatever he needs to give up in order to get Mariota. Chip's friend and mentor Bill Belichick has won Championships with tons of players who have come and gone, but with one constant who runs "his" Offense the way he wants ... Tom Brady. I think Chip has the same philosophy in that as long as he has "his" guy behind Center running his style exactly how he wants it ... it doesn't matter if the pieces around him changes. I think he absolutely traded for Bradford as a trade up piece for Mariota; I'm just hoping the deal doesn't involve Cox or Kendricks ... Boykin may have already been replaced in Walter Thurmond.

Kelly is not going to give up a lot of our Depth to get Mariota. There are very few teams that need the type of QB he is. If he gets past the Jets he could drop all the way. Wasn't Aaron Rodgers projected to be top 5?

My money is on Mariota not becoming an Eagle unless he drops close to our pick.

Actually it would be a sweet trade!!!getting a first rd for Bradford, then flipping that pick plus #20 and Kendricks and throw in Boykin and next years #1 for Chip Kelly's Andrew Luck... Fuck yeah, do the deal!

Two first rounders, Kendricks, Boykin, and another first rounder? That would be a HORRIBLE trade! That would get my vote for worst trade in franchise history. :hellno:

Luck is a real quarterback and always has been.

Enut you're right. That would be waay too much to give up. I don't see it happening at all and it would certainly piss me off!

#20 overall, Bradford, Vinny Curry, Boykin, 2016 1st, sure why not….but leave Kendricks alone yah shmucks :D

This is more realistic. And I agree to leave Kendricks alone!

As long as don't trade Cox, I'm fine with it. But, I don't think we give up many, if any, players in a deal. Bradford and 2 1st rounders will get it done.

Considering the events of free agency, I think it would be wise not to say what Kelly wouldn't do to get the players he wants.

You realize it's pretty similar to what Wings had said, and you thought would be the worst trade in team history.

Only this one had Curry instead of Kendricks.

I think it's too much period. Trading Bradford is more than trading a first round draft pick because of what we gave up to get him. Plus two more first rounders AND players? No thank you.

I was referring to a trade involving Curry instead of Kendricks being more realistic to me. Oops I grabbed the wrong post lol.

Totally possible. The more I analyze it, the more I understand Chip the more this becomes logical.

Boykin had a down year last year, and his contract will be coming up. Thurmond is a good replacement, as long as he stays healthy. I think we draft at least one CB. Watkins can also play the slot, so Boykin is definitely available in a trade up. I don't want to give up Kendricks, but to me, Cox is an untouchable.

The Eagles are supposedly bringing in Wake Forest corner Kevin Johnson for a workout. He has small hands and is a little skinny, but otherwise seems to check off all the boxes including height that Chip likes in a DB. Great movement skills in the drills at the combine, people were raving about how well he moves for a six-foot corner.

I've been on the Kevin Johnson bandwagon for a while ... had him in my first and only Mock a few months back, but back then he was a 3rd or 4th rounder on most people's boards (I had him as our 3rd round pick). He's since then moved up into the late 1st early 2nd ... I'd be cool with him in a trade down to early 2nd. Taking him at pick 20 may be a bit of a reach even though I'm a fan. I don't know if I would take him ahead of Marcus Peters even though Peters ran slower than expected. The wild card at Corner is going to be Jalen Collins from LSU. Excellent close to the LOS and excellent at anything over the top ... but gets beat on slants way too easily. That's more of a technique/experience issue though that may be corrected. I'm really torn on who I want if we stay at 20 ... I hope we can trade down and get back our 3rd rounder.
