Jimmy Kempski has an interesting speculative breakdown of what kind of deal might be possible to trade to #2 and take Mariota, if indeed the Browns covet Bradford. It's similar to what we have discussed: Trade Bradford for 19, trade, 19, 20, some players and next's year's first rounder for the 2 pick and Mariota.

Kempski speculates it may take Kendricks and Boykin but likely would not totally decimate the current roster, or this year's draft. The big thing would be losing draft picks next year.

Here's how the Eagles are going to get Marcus Mariota | PhillyVoice

This is why Mariota will not be an Eagle. The cost is too high.

I've mentioned on another thread that I think there's a good possibility at this point Mariota falls maybe to 12 at the Browns. What you're suggesting is way too much and I would feel even worse if they did something like that than what they gave up to get Bradford.

Maybe Bradford and 20 to move to 12 seems more reasonable, but I would wait to see if Cleveland gets desperate enough to possibly give us 12 straight up for Bradford, especially if their owner gets involved and forces the issue.

Actually it would be a sweet trade!!!getting a first rd for Bradford, then flipping that pick plus #20 and Kendricks and throw in Boykin and next years #1 for Chip Kelly's Andrew Luck... Fuck yeah, do the deal!

It's an extremely high price, no doubt. But that makes sense to me--that is the kind of package it would require. Maybe sub Kendricks for a Vinny Curry, etc but that kind of package of players and picks.

Luck is a real quarterback and always has been.

I think it is all a moot point anyway. I don't think Kelly is going to trade Bradford.

I would do the deal for the real Andrew Luck. Otherwise it is a horrible deal for a Mariota

I would not put it past Kelly to trade Bradford, Cox, Peters, Kendricks, really anyone. After the last week, I don't know how anyone could think they know what this guy is going to do.

As for whether Mariota is worth the trade up, I have more faith in him panning out than in Bradford staying upright at this stage. So I would do this, even though I think anyone who thinks Mariota is a sure thing like Luck is kidding themselves. He may be Chip's Luck, but he has a pretty high bust factor, especially if Chip walks, which you have to consider a possibility.

Mariota ia Andrew Luck in Chips system. That is why the guy wants him so bad.

Sam Bradford is way closer to Andrew Luck than Mariota is.

Put this out here last week. It's gonna happen.

Bradford for 19 is a steal. 19/20 and next years 1. I hope it's not kendricks but Boykin can go.

Also some rumors of Bradford + 1st and players to the Titans for 2nd overall.

If it came down to Cox or Kendricks, who would people move first?
Cox is pretty much untradeable for me.

I'd be pretty disgusted if we traded either of these guys. Now I'm the biggest Kendricks backer here, but stud 3-4 DE's are more rare than stud ILB'ers.

Here is what will happen, one of 2 scenarios:
Eagles trade Bradford to Cleveland for #12. He holds the cards and Cleveland wants Bradford real bad.He trades #12 & #20 to Tennessee, and that's all. Nobody else gets traded, period.

If this doesn't work, then Chip stays put and drafts Jake Fisher @ #20, which allows him to fill the holes at OL; S; and WR.

Either one of these works just fine for me. Chip says he will not weaken the team just to get Mariota, and I believe him.

We'll see!

If they trade Cox for Mariota straight up, then Kelly is a fucking moron.
