I really don't know what to make of Team USA in this tourney. I'm sure there will be high expectations like in previous years. Jones & Galchenyuk are the headliners of course. I do think they're solid on D though.

Johnny Hockey Gaudreau is tearing it up at Boston College and I look forward to seeing how the Flames prospect fares at the tourney. I'm hoping that Patrick Seiloff can make the squad on defense as well. The US might have the best goalie in the tourney in John Gibson. They should make some noise in Russia.

Canucks prospect Nicklas Jensen scored two goals and added one assist for Denmark as the Men's National Team beat France 3-1 today.

This is a Mens' team. Jensen will be available to play in the U20 tournament as well.
Granted, he'll be pretty much on his own, but it will be interesting to see how he stands up in the WJHC.

IIHF has ruled Team USA's Stefan Noesen ineligible for WJC because he has 7 of 10 games remaining on an OHL suspension

I'm really starting to think that he'll be drafted ahead of MacKinnon and will get more playing time than him in this tournament.

Does not exist. Nice try though.

Does indeed exist. It's a town of about 500 people (I think, only just passed through).

I don't believe Drouin is from there however. He's listed on hockeydb as being from Ste-Agathe. Ste-Agathe-des-Monts (often just called Ste-Agathe) is about 30 clicks from Huberdeau.

I don't if the writer of the piece is very thorough and found out that Drouin is actually from the smaller Huberdeau or if he's just sloppy and put Huberdeau in the article because he was thinking of Jonathan Huberdeau.

:confused2:

I woouldn't have guessed it in the one game I've seen Drouing and Mackinnon play but it looks like JS might be right. Drouin seems to be impressing a lot of people.

markhmasters: Unsurprisingly Canada's top PP unit is Huberdeau-RNH-Scheifele w/ Rielly-Hamilton; 2nd unit: Drouin-Strome-Rattie/Ritchie w/ Murphy, Ouellet
