I would say at the very least the ASB
How long will holland be out?
Is it just me or does Martin watch more pitches come right down the middle for strikes early in the count?
To me he has no pitch recognition. Same reason he will swing at something that will almost hit him. It's almost like he will swing no matter what and hope the pitch was a strike.
Got to believe the coaches are noticing these same things and are working with him seeking resolution.Think the same thing. My impression is he is up there batting defensively guessing at what is coming and deciding before the pitch is even thrown whether he will swing or not. He's either not picking the ball up or not guessing well.
We have seen this before especially with young LH batters even against RHP. It can last a long long long time unless they wake up one day with the picture in their mind and begin to bat offensively not defensively.
Yeah giving up a pick for a one year deal doesn't sound good to me. Early in his career he would follow up a good season with an egg but he seems to have limited that to one egg the last four years. Not sure for a full season if the "globe" would be his best opportunity to put up great numbers but JD knows better than I
In 2.2 innings Scheppers 57-33 and Ross 50-30 on pitch count-strikes thrown.
Yikes.
I just don't see either of those guys in the rotation.

I'm pulling for Tepesch but who knows at this point.I don't either. Let them get their 1-2 innings in and let Tepesch, Saunders, Hanson, Kirkman and whoever else get their innings in to see who will be our starters.
Go to User CP. Look for signature.

Thinking about his youth and his future vs. the others.I think he's got a really good shot.

Was referring to Wasting's last comment of Tepesch, Saunders Hanson or Kirkman.I'm looking at it the exact opposite. Meaning: I'd rather see Lewis and/or Saunders step up and make the big club which would allow Tepesch to go to AAA and refine his 3rd pitch, get his innings and be ready for the inevitable fatigue/injury which will happen.
Whomever made the argument here long ago about needing 10 starters to start a season is ringing true to me now.

Oops.....but in looking at your above list, I'd still rather see Saunders/Kirkman with Tepesch heading to RR.
I'd rather see the best pitchers make the rotation.
