Moreland is seeing a lot of pitches in the last 2 days. Another walk today in his 1st AB

With Moreland, it doesn't matter until the regular season. He killed it last spring also and look what happened.

It does matter if he's changed his approach and is making more of an effort to go deep in the count. I understand your hesitation, but it's not a bad thing.

Choice might be the only reason I watch the season. The kid has it.

Hopefully it translates to the regular season, I have no reason to think it won't

Moreland might find himself trade bait for a needed piece sooner rather than later, especially now that he seems to be playing a little better

He and the emergence of Robbie Ross & Tanner Scheppers are really the only bright spots I've seen this spring training.

Prince is Prince...

I guess Soria as well....- though given his track record... isnt that expected of him?

The only way it won't might be inconsistent playing time. He's certainly earned himself lots of regular season looks.

Prince is Prince indeed. He will be solid. Ross and Scheppers have looked nice, but I wonder more about their longevity. Choice seems ready to be plugged in and get it.

I'd rather take a flier on Chris Getz or someone like that

Solid glove and doesn't strikeout, hits for no power but then again, who of the options does?

Rickie Weeks is terrible and expensive, Brewers were probably on the phone calling us as soon as they heard

As interesting as the possibilities are, I'd rather stick with what we have and try to find lighting in a bottle internally. Our offense is good enough. Its not gonna be at the top of the AL, but itll still be solid until we get the starters back.

btw, no one has really talked about him, but alex rios is gonna have to play an extremely important role this season. We're losing so much of our order, one by one, after beltre that his AB's are gonna start to become much tougher. I'm assuming most people are putting choice behind him, but Rios is gonna have to grind out AB's and see pitches. I doubt he'll see many fastballs.

Well with Darvish out to start the year, along with Lewis, Harrison and Holland and the with the way Ross pitched today, I think he's earned at least a turn in the rotation to start out the year

Sooo... Perez/Scheppers/Ross/Saunders/Hanson... then hopefully Darvish and maybe Lewis are ready to return?

What's a 45-day advance-consent release?

Wonder if the Rangers would be interested in picking up Mark Ellis ?...he's 36 but he's a solid hitter, would strengthen the bench . He may be too expensive.

I know some said that Odor is not ready defensively. I was wondering at the time where that came from. JD is on the fan and said a lot of people in the organization think he could handle it right now, but JD wants to get him everyday ABs in AA and see how he does. We could see Odor a month or so into the season if he takes care of business.
