Kouz being able to play first and third is huge. Plus he has decent pop that could play well if he's back to form.

Having someone with some pop at third for when Beltre's glass hamstrings are giving him problems could be a life saver.

Not to mention having him as an option coming off the bench in NL parks.

Yes. He can play 3B in Toronto.

His ability to play 3rd is huge. Now, as far as first is concerned, not so much. At least as long as MM is on the team.

But if Moreland doesn't mend and/or produce he's not too long for our organization I think.

And do my ears deceive me, or is McLemore showing more energy in the booth?

I really don't see the MM thing working out long term.

Not with fielder on the books long term, and done serious first base prospects in line behind him waiting for their shot.

Certainly better than the 87-89 from last year. I still don't think we should count this guy out.

If he leaves that up in the zone he will be crushed at home though. Also he needs to not walk guys.

It all boils down to his bat. No breaking news there. But if he produces well while DHing and takes advantage of his ABs filling in, then he may be a key component of a trade.

People talk about him getting at bats at dh, then choice, then Moreland. There's only so many at bats to go around at dh.
