At the All-Star break, the Pirates are 56-37, a winning percentage of .602. This projects out to 97.5 wins over the course of a full season, so we're sitting right between the Bucs being on pace for a 97-65 season and a 98-64 season. Consequently, steelparrot remains in the lead.

He got upset about a post on here and has not posted here since. No idea if he posts elsewhere or not, but I think a lot of people miss him.

Mags won't be around for a little while, I don't think, but I don't believe it's my place to relay the reason for his absence. If he wishes it to be known publicly, I'm certain he will make a post to that effect. In the meanwhile, I, like the rest of the board, will hope for and eagerly anticipate his return.

here's a nice perspective...Pirates are only 7 wins away from knocking thecrow out of contention. Magic number to reach the top prediction is 26.

I wanted to say 95 wins.. but I did not want to seem like I was stoned when I made my prediction.. At the time my prediction was the highest in the win column... I want Parrot to win this desperately...I will never be so happy to lose a competition.

Well, well, well.....look at who was eliminated first, and in August to boot. I guess there isn always nxt year.

I guess now would be a good time to update. Yes, yes, I'll do that. Thank you, crow, for pointing out that you had been eliminated.

The Pirates' current record of 70-44 is good for a .614 winning percentage, which projects to a record of 99-63 record (rounding down), which means no one is on pace to a correct prediction, but steelparrot remains in the lead with his prediction of 90-72. And crow has already alerted us to his elimination.

Just for fun, a "best case scenario" of winning out (I really meant it when I said "best") is 118-44, and the "worst case scenario" or not winning any more games is 70-92. I'm really not sure how relevant that is, but I guess it does illustrate just how bad the Pirates have to be from here until season's end for many of us to remain in contention.

I have also put the record the Pirates will need to achieve for the rest of the season in order to reach each of your respective predictions, just to give you an idea of what kind of team performance will be necessary for you to win.
