:hellno:

That guy is a clubhouse cancer.

Well I was hoping for Pederson, but really more just trying to unload Choo's contract. Choo isn't exactly the epitome of a team guy, from what we've heard lately either. Mostly joshing cause it wasn't happening anyway.

Hitzges has just made the case whereas EA is not even a starting SS in the ML.

His free fall is dramatic and tragic for the Rangers over the past 2+ seasons.

Thats why you don't hand out those types of contracts, especially to young guys that seem to lack maturity for the most part. The major issue is he has the skill set, he just chooses not to apply the effort it appears

I think the market is still trying to find itself, beyond starting pitching that is.

If you can get a couple quality prospects for MM, you might consider moving him before he gets hurt again

Yeah, I can't deny it could make sense as far as improving the team goes. The dude has always been a favorite of mine, though.

Anyone notice Feliz's outing last night? He went one inning, gave up 4 hits - including a GS - 5 runs, with a walk, and a WP for good measure.

I saw it in a recap. I wouldn't bet a shiny nickel he has anything left. And it's a damn shame.

He is likely one of those that never recovers from the arm injury, very sad!

Exactly. Got to know when to hold em and know when to fold em.

Tough thing is, while you and I know this team isn't contending, that's still a tough message to send to the team.

Yes. I had a post where I would be upset if I was a Detroit or Seattle fan with what was expected of those teams. I posted it right after Feliz had blown the game in the 8th. Just never know what can happen with pitchers. Many sure fire can't miss pitchers have been knocked out by injuries. It is a position you just cannot have too many of.

Agree there but with Mitch it does not have to mean that you have thrown in the towel. We have so many left hand hitters and we have many possible DH's. Not strong on 1B area without having to teach someone the position but we need to open up a place for Gallo if Beltre is to stay. Mitch has had a very good year but you just never know with his injury situation each year. But because of the good year as you say he is a good trade chip for us.

Now we are going to start hearing about all the Cole Hamels stuff again. We all knew it was coming.

Really wish there was a way to move Andrus out and bring Alberto up. His offense would not be any worse than what Andrus is bringing and his defense may be better. He would be a good, inexpensive for the interim until another young prospect came along via trade or draft.

2B Hanser Alberto had two singles, extending his hitting streak to 14 games overall and 13 since returning from the majors. Alberto is hitting .415 with five strikeouts in 53 at-bats during the streak.

Both you guys (Eph and Murph) are exactly right about Nefty.

Boy, a few years ago, I thought we had won the lottery with him and Elvis. But at least with Feliz, he gave it his all, just looks like the injury situation is never going to allow him the return to that form again.

I swear, I wonder if moving EA wouldn't be harder than Choo. Maybe that's a tie.

Choo at least has shown some flashes of getting back to his old self. EA has been getting worse for the past 2+ years, and this is the time when he should be coming into his own (he's still not 27 yet).

I maintain that October 2010 + October 2011 + TJ surgery in 2012 (after shifting to starter) destroyed Feliz between the ears, beyond the physical toll of the TJ. Just a perfect storm of experiences that he simply couldn't get past.
