Higgins at best will be tagged and traded. Don't see Peters doing that. Godwin looks like he's going back to Tampa. That leaves DK and Garrett. With Aaron gone, I don't see the Jets moving Garrett. That leaves DK, which will probably cost us 29. Then there is Kupp and Deebo.

Imo Kirk is on par with Deebo and Kupp at the moment. Keim name dropped Slayton. Options are out there, but it doesn’t feel like the #2 that you and most of the fanbase wanted is going to happen this year. DK for 29 is interesting though.

Maybe I'm out of turn.

Is everyone prepared to see Diggs nose to nose with Jayden, chewing him out on SNF? I'm not.

I agree almost completely with Sty on this one. If we can't get Higgins, none of the other names really improve the rag tag WRs we got away with using last year(yes i am saying godwin isn't a gamechanger in DC)

Diggs would be a good addition if he wasn't a headache.

However i think we could get DK for a 2nd straight up. He immediately becomes our AJ Brown and Terry probably gets 18 TDs. No hyperbole.

Look at this tape.

Let's say things shake out just as you outlined them, if so my choice is a hard pass on all of them. The Commanders under that scenario should draft a guy like Jayden Higgins or Trey Harris and continue to use subsequent drafts to find that stud big guy, unless one shakes loose who meets their willingness to trade for AND has youth, size, speed, and skillset this franchise has needed for years.
Trey Harris. I like him.

DK for 61 is a no brainer imo!

1) terry
2) Kupp
3)Kirk
4)Luke
5) Sign back D. Brown

Nothing wrong with that.
LOL... There's plenty or wrong with fielding this group! First you don't have one guy that any defense had to be concerned with.
Terry is a nice piece but nobody loses sleep at night because he's the next opponent.
Kupp at this time is no better than Brown, Brown, and Z.
Kirk, is an interesting piece as a slot receiver, the question is how much more does he give up than the guys that you've previously fielded.
Luke can't beat out the field yet either. Maybe he steps up in 2025, maybe he doesn't, but in the best case scenario, where he becomes a true starter, you don't need Kirk in the WR3 spot.

D.K. is an interesting player who would definitely fill the void, but after considering his contract and what Seattle would want for him... at minimum a first, plus a player, their current situation screams retention of the player. Btw; in the highly unlikely scenario where Seattle would part with him for a 2nd straight-up, I too would jump on that trade then wait on the league to investigate Seahawks management for drug use.

Not a DK guy but wouldn’t cry over our second rounder.

Nothing wrong with that.

TM cap hit next season is 25 million.
Kupp 20 mil cap hit in 25 and 26.
Kirk 18 mil cap hit in 25.

Yep…there are a lot of Benjamin’s wrong with that. Why not just offer Tee 30-32 million, keep our picks, and get a superior player?

I just want to give some of you perspective on team building in the salary cap era and how teams can afford to pay their players. An example of Eagle contracts in 2024:

Lane Johnson 4 year 80 million
Jalen Hurts 5 year 255 million
AJ Brown 3 year 96 million
Jordan Mailata 3 year 66 million
Darius Slay 3 year 42 million
Devonta Smith 3 year 75 mil
Bryce Huff 3 year 51 mil
Barley 3 year 37.5 mil

Hahahahahahahahahhaaaaa. You never know, i think with the cap adjustments they still only have 10 mil. Some seattle heads on this site seem ready to dump him in the garbage.
What I'm struggling with the most is how to address offensive line, the kid from KC, and the kid from LA RAMS, they are being hailed as top FAs but were late rounders. Is it possible we hit in the draft again and spend that money elsewhere? I won't be upset if we get Stanley but....im struggling with where to spend and where to trust the draft process and FA

The offensive line seems to me to be one of the easier fixes, with the key move being the acquisition or drafting of a LT. If they solve their LT concerns, it solves the RT position(Coleman/Wiley) AND offers more flexibility at guard as former tackles are moved inside. (I still see them also picking up another guard via free agency/draft or picking up a tackle to be converted to guard)

I feel like there is going to be some tough choices to make at 29. Thats not a bad thing though.
For instance, i expect several solid fits at DB to be there, but what if Egbuka or Jihaad are available too.
Will they be passed for an OT

I would say take the best player of those. All are needs and all those positions are of importance. I would say that corner is the least important of those.

I think I'd agree. I'm optimistic Lattimore can turn it around, Mike S could become a stud this year, Noah is so so, we can still draft a corner later and attack FA. What would you prefer at 29?

It really depends on who is available and what we do at the beginning of FA. My top targets in FA are Tee, Alaric Jackson, Becton, and Sweat.

Tough choices will become a lot clearer after free agency, trades and the like. Fortunately, Washington has become a destination team and there will be plenty of players wanting to come here to work. The real fun begins on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at 4pm ET. This is also the start of the new league year and now that this team is relevant, it has to become a holiday!
