I don't think we would have got the RFK new stadium deal if we won 5 or less games this year ..winning is everything F the Eagles just do what is best so we can have alot of winning seasons .My Bro brought up a good point if Skins got a dynamic Pass rusher in this draft we could not afford him after given J.D 80 mill a year ?? Also this Roster needs to be constructed in a way that it won't effect the caps when it's time to sign Jayden..there has be unknown people off the bench that kickass for your but are cheep as Fuck ..if look at the Tunsil deal looks like he will be a FA the same time J.D can be a FA ...something we have to think about don't want be like Dallas in cap hell it good to have anywhere between 40 and 80 million every off season

Yeah I read it again after and realized you were supporting signing Miller. Miller’s body may be better off preserved on a 30% snap count. Armstrong may get more sacks if being put in a position (passing down) to make more sacks.

I was definitely for Sweat.

My point is you don’t need a ten sack guy to win.

Can we honestly beat KC, Buffalo or Baltimore in a superbowl with the pass rush we have now? This is somewhat of a contradicting question because I've claimed beating Philly is an automatic AFC victory in the superbowl. So to make some sense of my rambling, next year we will improve the pass rush BUT this year, you have no reservations about the guys set to generate pressure??

Yes. We can beat any team out there.

to be clear, if we don't make any additions, and we stay healthy....we can win a superbowl right now?
is that what you're believing?

My take is we can compete for an appearance but the eagles and lions seem to be a notch above

I agree, in any given single game, they can win; however, the exceptions still remain the NFCCG and the Super Bowl. To do that, they still need to address the WR, TE, RB, Edge, and LB'er spots.

1. Still no true physically gifted game-changing WR.

2. Questions remain at TE. No one has stepped up to take the job from Ertz, and his longevity is a major question now. Perhaps Turner can stay healthy and build on the flashes that he's shown when he was able to take the field.

3. I like the newly drafted RB, JCM, but I can't find a lot of stuff where he's taking on blockers. To be the all-purpose guy, he has to be able to block.

4. Needs a game-changing guy here, too! Without any further changes, they will go into the 2025 season with a fingers-crossed rush-by-committee approach.

5. Believe it or not, I'm missing a Jamin Davis TYPE right now because of his size and speed, which might have been used ala Parsons to attack the QB. (NO, I'm not suggesting that they are comparable as players, but the measurables match up pretty closely, and that's why I used "TYPE!")

  • Micah Parsons is 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 245 pounds. He ran a 4.36-second 40-yard dash, making him one of the fastest edge rushers in the NFL.
  • Jamin Davis is slightly taller at 6 feet 4 inches but lighter at 234 pounds. His 40-yard dash time is 4.44 seconds, which is still impressive but a bit slower than Parsons.
Parsons has a slight edge in speed, while Davis has a bit more height. Both are explosive athletes with strong physical attributes suited for their linebacker/edge roles. Let's remember his roller-coaster position switches under Rivera and Co. Selected as an OLB, they wanted to, and tried him as a MLB, then at the end switched him once more from LB to edge. He had zero chance of success.

One other note, keep an eye on the UDFA rookie Jacoby Jones, who I see as an excellent candidate to be converted from WR to TE. (Apologies for not posting this with the above post, but honestly, I remembered scouting him but couldn't remember his name, and when I did, it was too late to add it.

Oh I do agree our roster is not fantastic but a QB such as Daniels can make up for a lot of ills. Mahomes can win Super Bowls with a less than great roster. Hurts needs a great roster and they still don’t have a Parson’s type.

I disagree. But i do believe next year we will have added the pieces needed to win a superbowl. Again, i also believe we can beat anybody as well, but if we are talking NFCCG and the world championship....we are lacking.
Sty had some good points on needs that obviously can't be fixed in one year but once they do, we should be dominate.
Gkekoa, you seem to really believe what you've said, i disagree but respect it

I'd take any one of the three. At this point we just need someone to give us what Fowler Jr. did last year.

Having Von and Wagner in the same locker room would be invaluable. Smith probably has a little more in the tank. I'm not sure about Judon.
Give me Judon and I would be happy. I really want Hendrickson.

And also the question should be ... should our team be built to beat Philly idk but I take building for sustain wins rather then focus on what we need to do to beat Philly ...We had no business beating the lions this year but we did ..

I agree its better to build a team than focus on defeating just one super team. We will never know what could have happened without all those turnovers. But what i love about the Philly loss is everyone was devastated. Losing to a team like that only helps you learn what you could have done better and what you can copy from them as well. The skins aren't going in the season relaxed. Philly on the other hand, may have several traps games this year

No, disagreement with you, just trying to figure out a way to attack the edge issue this year and because Parsons was a linebacker who converted...

I don’t think there is a way to attack edge this year short of doing something stupid. I don’t mind signing Von Miller if the price is low on a one year deal.

I agree. I was all in on Trey, but other than some hired guns, i don't think we can really upgrade edge. I dunno who's a FA next year at that position

I'm pretty confident that last years base defense was a 4-3, and as such, a switch to a base 3-4 could reap the benefits that everyone seems to be concerned about. Quinn, did use it against Dallas last year, but based on his time in Atlanta and Dallas as head coach, he's a 4-3 dude!
