Reported by more than just him
Yeah, I've been saying for weeks on here, it didn't feel like we were getting Tee. Nothing official, but pretty much. I don't think we were in on him anyway.

an yet we were in the NFC championship game. Vikings had 14 wins in the regular season. Rams and Packers were in the playoffs. There is no cookie cutter way to build a team and succeed in the NFL.

Still defending the crap product Ron Rivera put on the field. At least you are consistant.

Not even close gk. Defending that there is no cookie cutter way to build a team.

Except we were not trying to build a team through free agency either. No good team is built by the following:

2024 first- Jayden Daniels (starter)
2024 second- Johnny Newton (rookie behind 40 million plus in DT)
2024 second- Mike Sanristil (starter)
2024 second- Ben Sinnott (rookie)

2023 first- Emmanuel Forbes (complete ass)
2023 second- Quan Martin (starter)

2022 first- Jahan Dotson (ass)
2022 second- Phidarian Mathis (ass)

2021 first-Jamin Davis (ass)
2021 second- Sam Cosmi (pro-bowl caliber)

2020 first- Chase Young (yuck)

2019 first- Dwayne Haskins
2019 first- Montez Sweat (not worth the contract)

Regardless there is not a right or wrong way to build a team. That graphic just proved that you don't have to hit on your 1st and 2nd round picks to be successful. Look at the Rams and all the draft picks they lost over the years. I remember you saying you must hit on these picks to be successful, this graphic proves otherwise.

a lot more goes into building a team than the draft. Of course, the draft helps but it's not a given that you will be successful. Again, no cookie cutter way to build a team.

There is no formula for building a team but every team has some sort of combination of free agents and draft picks.

The Rams are a horrible example for you because you omit the reason they were without picks. The Rams lost two first round picks for Stafford, two first round picks for Ramsey, and the list goes on back to 2017. So yes, he Rams will have a much lower success rate for draft picks in the first two rounds because they haven’t had a first round pick until Verse in nearly a decade.

Ok, but the Rams were successful b.c of trades/FA's not the draft. That is the point. Some people believe that you never trade draft picks for vet players. Rams proved otherwise.

I agree there has to be a combination of FA's and draft picks.

It is not the point. You were looking at a statistic talking about first and second round pick success for teams. If you keep your first and second round picks, then you have to hit on them. If you trade your first and second round picks, you have to get successful players in return.

no you don't have to hit on them Look at the graphic. Yes the trades should work out. the whole point was the graphic and the draft is not the only way to build a team.
