Revel potentially is the shut down prototype for the bigger receivers we have struggled with. St. Turd failed to fill that role. Oline can be addressed in FA. Just playing devil's advocate

The combine and FA most definitely changes things. I believe Revel has lock down potential, he could be there due to his season ending injury. Some teams aren't crazy about drafting a guy that may not be ready in September

Well Peters passed on him to get Mikey S and Sinott apparently, he didn't think he was a shutdown CB.

I’m not really sure what your point is.

You said Revel is not a shutdown corner if he is there at 29. I simply stated DeJean was 40 and was shutdown this season.

i dont know about shutdown. I remember hearing at draft time that dejean was a jack of all trades. My point is if Peters felt he was a shutdown Cb like you said why not draft him? We needed one. Instead give him to the Eagles. I M guessing Peters didnt feel he was that shut down Cb liek you said that's why he traded out and felt Mikey S brought similar value.

Talking to a few Eagles fans, they feel he should have been ROY.

Who cares what Peters thought during the draft? The fact is DeJean was shutdown this season. I never said anything about the Mikey pick.

For context in regard to Myles Garrett. Skins trade their #1 in 25 and 26.

The 29th pick in the last two draft were Tyler Guyton from Dallas and Brian Bresee of the Saints.

If we currently had Myles Garrett on our team, is there a world where we trade him for Tyler Guyton and Brian Bresee? Didn't think so.

backtrack for a minute with me Dean, when you said you would pass on Revel for Booker in the draft, I stated that Revel was the prototypical DB.
Size and speed, with the "potential" to be a shutdown cornerback. When you claimed he wouldn't still be there at 29 if he was a shutdown cornerback is impossible to establish, however a shutdown corner can be found later or even in the 2nd round as Gkekoa mentioned with DeJean.
As far as Mike San goes, He's on his way to shutdown status too when our pass rush improves, win win
