The boos for Lindor are getting louder.
He just K'd looking after Villar's leadoff double.
Now Villar originally ruled safe...gets caught stealing 3rd (after the Rox challenge & ump review)....w/ Drury at the plate.
And then of course Drury singles afterwards.
McCann & Smith both walked....loading the bases for Nido.

edit:
Nido grounds out on the 1st pitch. (wtf....does he have a plane to catch?)

:L

Desperation, as usual, reaps little to no rewards.

1-1 tie...end of 3.

Back to the game....

deGrom allowed a leadoff single in the 5th...then K'd the next 3 batters...(has 9 K's for the game thru 5)

Villar walked leading off in the 5th..then gets caught stealing...again...this time it was 2nd base..lol... 'cuz more desperation??

Lindor getting boo'd louder after grounding out.

Miguel Castro is now on the mound to begin the 6th....not deGrom (who threw only 63 pitches)

1-1 after 5.

And just as I was typing that.....Smith singled, and Nido hit a 2 run bomb in the 6th.

3-1 Mets.

Onto the 7th.

edit: Castro tossed a 1-2-3 ( w/2 K's) shutdown frame in the 7th.

Mets 3 - Rox 1 at the stretch....

LGM!

After Lindor whiffed again (now hitting .184)....how long will Rojas keep in that important 2 hole in the order??
I mean he took Maybin (.000) out of the 3 spot after about 4 games of zero production, and dropped him down to 6th..and now 8th.

Something has to give...and I maintain Lindor is hiding an injury...though I'm not 100% certain...but something just ain't right with him.
Yes I understand he's a nice guy, great teammate, congenial, plays awesome defense At SS......but we need so much more from him...especially at that price.

Maybe a shift down to 7th, 8th, or even 9th in the batting order would be good thing until he consistently shows signs of figuring it out.

Onto the 8th....Mets 3 - Colorado 1
Trevor May coming in.

Good to have Jake back, I think you have to sit Lindor for a game or two. Heard Keith interviewed 2 days ago and he was saying Lindors swing has been too long, it's not compact, he's not turning on the ball enough. If it's mechanics I think he needs to sit and figure it out and get out of the current groove he's in.

I feel like the injuries are a convenient excuse but I'm not in love with Rojas. I believe if this team wants to contend we need another guy at the helm.

Agreed. ^

Hopefully an ex player.....preferably a former catcher. (they seem to know what's up)
It's been a while since this team had one.......and it's long overdue imho.
Not saying that'll be an immediate be all, end all..or a panacea....but it's a start.
