Trainer's Room....

Mets INF Jonathan Villar was removed from the game with right hamstring tightness.... Rojas said J.D. Davis' minor-league rehabilitation assignment has been postponed because he experienced discomfort in his sprained left hand after taking swings over the weekend. Davis was originally put on the injured list on May 2. He began a rehab assignment May 18 but played in only four games before being shut down.

Up Next....
Mets travel to San Diego for a four-game series. Right-hander Taijuan Walker (4-1, 1.84) will take the mound on Thursday against Padres right-hander Yu Darvish (5-1, 2.16).

I have tentative plans to go back there to visit family on Long Island and Connecticut in late Aug. to early Sept.
and might have to take in a game or 2 at Citi. I still haven't been there since it was built.

Tai Walker gave up a 2 run HR to some dude named Tatis Jr. lol...and he also allowed a run to score on a WP.

Wow...as I was typing that, James (stay hot) McCann was hitting a 2 run HR....to cut it to 4-2.

..........and now Smith gets HBP.....prompting SD to take Darvish out for a relief pitcher.
But he was already at 91 pitches. Walker was at 105 thru 5...so he's likely not gonna back in this one.
