Blasphemy to make the comparison between Cousins and Jurgensen who played at a time where passing wasn't emphasized as much as it is today, more important, QB's weren't protected and coddled as much as they are today. Kirk wouldn't have lasted a week back then, wayyyyyy too soft.

Wins and losses is the best metric ever, different times = different metrics greater emphasis on QB's today than ever. In fact running games and to a lesser extent defenses were equally if not more important than QB's back then and you know it.

You know damned well if defenses were allowed to tee off on QB's today as they were then you would need at least 6 or 7 on rosters today just to get through the season. Hell, waving a hand too close to a QB's head could cost 15 yards in penalties and likely a stern warning or fine from the league.

Stop loving Kirk so damned much, he's just another player. You and @Sharks defense of him reminds me shit that you both accused others of doing with regards to that other guy. Maybe that's why you're lost, you're doing the same thing.

BTW: Blasphemy; Question which would you rather have as your QB, 28 year old Jurgensen or 28 year old Kirk all other things including times being equal?

What's the best metric in all of sports?..........If you guessed win and losses....,you win! The point I was making btw in context to our conversation was that Kirk had numbers, I said exactly that!! OK - Cousins is the QB for the first Redskins team to have a winning record in two consecutive seasons in a very, very long time. I guess that makes Cousins pretty good using the criteria that you just established.
