I highly doubt it was millions to settle. Maybe a mil for the absolute most high profile one. Probably not even that though.

The NFLPA and Watson announced Sunday that they would not appeal the decision, likely aware at the time that the suspension would be shorter than some had anticipated. Watson was not fined as part of the decision; given the way his contract was structured, the suspension will cost him $333,333. The NFL, which had reportedly sought an indefinite suspension of at least one year, has three days to appeal the decision. Goodell can serve as the appeals officer and has the authority to increase the punishment.

But the writing was on the wall over the last few weeks - The judge had to act on various precedents with owners and the wording of the personal conduct policy. My guess now is that Goodell will talk tough about how he pushed for a year, but that it is unfair for him to overrule an independent judge. He'll look to save face without having to do anything extra. There will be no changes to the sentence and Watson will serve 6.

Yes. Minimum 6 games. Who knows what the actual number of games will be though. Most seem to be thinking a full year or more. My guess is 8 games but I wouldn’t be shocked by 6. If it’s 6 I think the NFL appeals for sure. If it’s 8 I’m not sure what they will do. If it’s 10 or more I don’t think they’ll appeal. All that being said IMO he deserves a minImum of a year and jail time but I don’t think he’s going to get it.

Watson and his team seems to be the one who did not want the number sealed so agree likely a lot less.

Or he's just really rich and good at his job, so employers will overlook basically anything.
