Clinching a play-off spot with their 17th consecutive win.

I had to look this one up. 17 honors Dizzy Dean, Joe Garagiola, Bobby Tolan to name a few.

Keep it going guys.

That's what I'm talking about!

We need to rest some players but we also don't want to end this streak.

Happy 17th in a row redbirds!

That's a little less alienating of a mistake. I doubt Williams has any chance now of becoming the Brewers manager one day--unless he somehow returns in a few weeks and wins World Series MVP.

What's funny is the guy most likely to fill in his set up role is notorious hothead Hunter Strickland.

Just heard that an hour before the game Arenado walked into Mo's office and told him that he was NOT opting out. He wants to be here long term.

Go Cards.

Almost all of these players who come to play for the Cardinals for the first time find out quickly that they want to be Cardinals for the rest of their playing days. Why wouldn't they since the Cardinals have way more NL championships than any other NL team.

Cardinals might lose 17 in a row if they had to face Houser every time.

Our make shift triple AAA lineup couldn't do much with Houser tonight but we swept the Brewers, and Houser, last week in their backyard when it mattered.

Yeah I know. He's only given up 2 runs, 1 earned in 25 innings against you though.

That was a great win against the Cubs yesterday.

Having this Cardinals team get matched up in a single elimination game against the Dodgers or Giants is kinda awful. Those are definitely 3 of the better teams in baseball right now and one of them will get knocked out right away.
