1 down.....
Everyday that our competition doesn't gain ground on us brings us that much closer to the playoffs.
1 down.....
Shocking stat. Would have never know that.
I think Big Jon will be retiring since he is just about worn out. After a slow start with the Cardinals since coming over he has been decent.
He's had a decent run to get to #200, but I don't think its very sustainable in the long term (pedestrian K/BB, FIP/xFIP/xERA are all higher than his ERA). I think he's pretty toasty
Damn. Those redbirds are hard to shake.
Playing lights out now.
I'll admit that I was wrong about this team needing to be 'sellers'
This has been a very interesting month, thats for sure
Its tough to say. If you look at things like Quality Wins, Luck, Strength of Schedule, etc then they are the type of team that gets swept out of the playoffs.Hey man, we have all been wrong with our predictions but I've got to ask you if you still don't think we are as good as our record? We will never know the answer to this but I wonder what our record would be if we had not had more injuries than any team in baseball. It's much more fun when September baseball matters.

Their pitching right now is so much better than something that can be measured with season long analytics, though. I think this is one of the Cardinals teams that will beat the other team as long as they dont run into a legendary performance (Ortiz in the WS, for example. Bumgarner would be another example)
Regardless of what happens in the playoffs, this kind of hot streak is a lot of fun.
What in the living hell????????????
The Streak.....at #11.....
I haven't heard about Arenado's status, hope nothing serious.
Hope STL can set it up that Waino can start the play-in game, if they make it there. Him vs Scherzer would kind of be like Carpenter vs Halliday back in the day.
Keep it rolling, boys.
