i do agree that's a big problem in soccer though

If the NHL decided to get rid of diving all together they could. All they have to do is tell the refs to call it every single time they suspect someone has taken a dive. In Soccer it's all about getting a free kick in the box & getting the other team to lose a player. Soccer players fake injuries better than any athletes in the world.

i think soccer could get rid of it too if they decided to.. same story really, just call the penalty on the guy that's diving.. it baffles me that both sports allow it to continue

and while soccer players do dive frequently, i think they get a bad name because probably the most famous soccer player in the world right now (rinaldo) is a gaping vagina on the level of teenage sidney crosby (he's improved, not to a respectable level, but he has improved)

it's a problem in both leagues.. if i were running either one, diving or embellishing would be a penalty, and would negate any potential penalty on the opponent
