I would move NAS to the southeast before CBJ.

They are taking Time zones into consideration. CBJ are in the Eastern. Just barely, but they are. I personally love the idea of playing Washington, Carolina, Tampa and Fla a lot. :)

Me likey...

I'd be okay with that one. Pens would create quite a rivalry. Might even be better to put Carolina in the other and leave Detroit in the same one with CBJ.

For rivalry's sake.

Never mind. Uneven conferences.

All to keep that Douche in Detroit happy. Stupid unless they take the top 16 regardless of conference into the playoffs.

I like that a LOT. I want CBus in the Pens division. Good stuff there.

How so? The only thing I don't like is Detroit coming East. Not because I don't want matchups against them, but because their history is rooted in the West.

Maybe ruin is a bad word, but I just cant stand that they feel the need to redo the entire system. I think the final product of this all is going to be quite brutal.

I dunno...really depends on what that product is. I'd like to say trust the guys in charge, but...HAH! At the end of the day, the sport is still at the forefront. Hockey will always be the beautiful game we know and love at the core.

I have to say, as a fan of Original 6 hockey, I think it's great that you'll get to see Detroit playing teams like the Rangers, Habs, Bruins, and Leafs in the playoffs other than the Stanley Cup final.

/Yes, the Leafs will make the playoffs again one day, stop laughing at me.

expansion, she's a comin'

Yup, we're gonna have 32 teams in the next 3 to 5 years, so it'll all balance out eventually.

When players like Cal Clutterbuck, Raffi Torres and Derek Dorsett have regular jobs in the NHL, perhaps the talent pool isn't enough to support two more teams.

I agree with this. Unless you literally started all the teams over in one gigantic draft, I don't think those two teams would have success for many years because of the lack of talent. They'd have to rely on a lot of youth combined with washed up talent.
