The dollars are fine, but yeesh on that term.
If his knees hold up it’s a good deal for a few years and if the solve the blue line even a little might be enough to drag them into contention for that period. If that’s the case it’s worth it.

So to recap Ken Holland's off-season thus far:

- trades for 38 year old Duncan Keith without salary retention
- loses his best defensive defenseman after Seattle outbid them by 100k per year
- re-signs a 39 year old goalie to a two-year deal
- gives Zach Hyman a 7/8 year contract

I still think those two are enough for the Oil to eek out a playoff spot in a weak Pacific Division, but it's going to be a dogfight, that's for sure.

Probably but i think they'll finish 7 points out, 3 behind 4th Calgary

Ukraine is weak; San Jose and Anaheim are rubbish and LA is one step above crap.
