NFL refs still suck

I hate when they challenge stuff just because it was a big play. I don't feel like that was the reason for reviews. I would be happier if the only time people challenged anything was when the refs actually made a mistake. Not whenever it's a close play and a review might possibly get lucky.

Ah makes sense … How about if you challenge and lose, you lose 1 challenge ? That would at the very least make them think twice about just challenging because…

Yes. To make it more interesting, you could challenge 1 not called penalty per game, and if you miss, loss of down, or something like that.

Bad calls happen in every game. I really don't like how inconsistent the refs are. In the Packers/Saints game today, they didn't call PI on many of the same type of plays in the 1st 3 quarters, but suddenly gave the Packers about 50 yards in PI calls on the same type of plays in the 4th quarter. While I do believe they were PI, why weren't they earlier, or suddenly they were when earlier they weren't? That crap drives me nuts

Browns won easily too but this can’t happen. Refs blew his whistle and he won’t get any punishment.

The fact I'm sitting 6 feet away watching a 4k display that's 86 inches, but the ref making the call on the replay is looking at a 7 inch tablet inside a box... something is wrong with thatView attachment 341360

Replay booth should just make the calls in the studio and radio it down. I want to strip on field refs of almost all power.

Nope. Give coaches 1 WRONG challenge a game. No limit on correct challenges. No need to,penalize a team just because the refs screw up against your team an inordinate number of times.

Make it 2 and you have a deal.

They should eliminate spot fouls. Refs should be given the authority to just place a ball on the goal line. No ball is 100% catchable even in the wide open. Even contested balls are only a little more than 50%. I say half the distance to the spot.

Same with automatic first downs. 4th and 40 and there is a 5 yard questionable defensive holding and its an automatic first down. Totally moronic.

My biggest one is offsides/false start. If a defensive guy crosses the line then it should just be whistled dead. Cut the bullshit with the oh he got back in time or did he draw the O-lineman into a false start and such. No free plays either. Just get rid of all the nonsensical confusion.

It’s useless to complain about the refs. In Pats game Jets got away with slapping receiver in the face with his back to the ball, never turned his head. But no use complaining.

Not to mention Mac getting slammed to the ground TWICE on the same play WELL after the whistle was blown and right in front of the official and NOTHING was called.

In Indy’s win, Ravens got screwed when DPI should’ve given them a new set of downs in OT, instead, it was a turnover on downs that allowed Indy to kick the game winner.

I saw that play on redzone yesterday and was like WFT?

That refs should be fired. Standing right there and called Cooper outta bounds. Inexcusable.
