...including DL and OL.

In addition, kickers can now wear numbers 0-49 and 90-99.

Essentially, it'll look like college.

I remember WRs being strictly 80-89. Keyshawn Johnson (#19) was the first WR in a long time to not wear an 80s number. I thought...WTH?

I do recall the late Ken Burrough wearing #00. That was cool.

No NFL team has ever retired 0 or 00. Can you tell I'm watching NFL Network? :D

I hate, hate, hate the new numbers.

When watching teams I dont usually watch and I am always forced to go look at a roster just to figure out what exactly I am seeing sometimes.

The worst is on defense. The Eagles had a single digit player who rushed every time he was on the field and I was thinking man that CB sure attacks the edge well when he blitzes. Turns out it was a DL/OLB.

I'll get used to it obviously and really dont care all that much. But there were some moments of adjustment last year.

Essentially, it'll look like college.

So it will look stupid.

I don't understand why they didn't just keep it the way that it was, aside from players all changing their numbers so that people will buy new jerseys.

Change for change's sake. Fucking retarded, but that's the way of the world. Gotta act like you're doing something even if that something doesn't improve anything.

CORRECTION:
Offensive and defensive linemen apparently cannot wear #0. Either I read that wrong or NFL Network was inaccurate.

What a dumbass change.

One of the best things about NFL was you could recall a # and know what position it was based on that #. It was something that helped when refs are talking through penalties (although it may have been obvious) or personal fouls, etc. to get an early diagnosis on who was at fault. Despite them getting the #s wrong from time to time, usually it was accurate.

Whatever. And NCAAF is a joke anyway. The only reason to watch that is for players who may transition to the NFL. The rest of everyone that watches that are a bunch of losers that fill out fantasy brackets or just root for the same high end schools that dominate recruiting every year.

If linemen cannot have the number 0, then we should all boycott!

yes. Lineman havent been privy to any of the # changes. because then they would have to adjust other rules.
A lineman has to be in whatever range because those #'s have to report as an eligible receiver, if lined up a certain way.
