What is BB doing?!?!?!?!

I mean I guess they really are getting rid of Ryan but come on.... there is certainly MORE need at WR and S then at QB

There was more needs correct, This guy is a project, there are better QB's then this guy left.

"Win later" mentality

He could be a great fit for the Patriots but again... Terrible pick at this pick imo

This draft is shallow at safety by all reports and there's little value to be had. There is no need or space for a WR.

I'm still not convinced Mallett is going anywhere until next year, but this takes the chance of an extension to little to nothing.

I still wanted a TE more than a QB with that pick

I'm stunned. I have to give BB a lot of space, he knows a hell of a lot more about the guys available than I do. As I always say to the Naysayers.......why are on these threads if you know so much? Why aren't you working for the Patriots or another NFL team. You expertise is wasted in here.............

I got what I wanted - a project QB for a Brady replacement.
49. Eastern Illinois QB Jimmy Garoppolo
6-2, 226

Garoppolo comes into the NFL like many quarterbacks these days: with less-than-ideal height, having run a fast-break, spread offense in college. The difference with him is that he played his college ball in Charleston, Ill. and was completely under the radar until he lit up Northern Illinois for 450 yards and 6 passing touchdowns at the start of the 2013 season. From there, scouts took note of Garoppolo's lightning-quick release, athleticism, competitiveness and moxie, and he did good work in the offseason at the East-West Shrine Bowl, Senior Bowl, his pro day and the combine. A very interesting project passer who must incubate before being thrown into the fire.
NFL comparison: Tony Romo's body and quick release but not as talented (or chaotic)
Draft range: It's possible he goes late in Round 1, but Round 2 more likely

It appears that the Dolphins are going all in. They've been grabbing picks all over this round. They just traded for the 67th pick from Oakland. I don't believe that rookies make all that much difference for a team in the year that they get drafted. Two or three years is when they begin to really fit in. Some teams get to use more than one or two like the Patriots last year. Rarely do the rookies and guys off the street perform at the level the Pats got last year.

This pick cost the Dolphins their 3rd and 4th round picks for Billy Turner OT North Dakota St.

So, we are keeping 3 QB's on the roster this year?
