Interesting read, I feel it's just to early to give up on these guys. Maye himself said "I got to get them the ball, not force it, but give them the opportunity". Is this an indication that VanPelt has been sending in plays to avoid them, or that Maye has not been willing to give them a fair shot? Either way, with four weeks left what do we really have to lose?

At this point, we have nothing to lose. If even one of them responds, that is a big plus…..

But I don't think we have had anything to lose all season. Did anyone think we were ever getting to the playoffs?

I said that I thought that the best this could do was 6-11. They'd have to win 3 out of the last four to reach that prediction. They would have to really become extraordinary to reach that. As of this morning, I think that they will be 3-14.

1. GIANTS (2-11)remaining games are against the Ravens, Falcons, Colts, Eagles
2. PATRIOTS (3-10)remaining games are against the Cardinals, Bills, Chargers, Bills
3. PANTHERS (2-11)remaining games are against the Cowboys, Cardinals, Buccaneers, Falcons
4. RAIDERS (2-11) remaining games are against the Falcons, Jaguars, Saints, Chargers

The above is the 2025 NFL Draft order as of today. The Raiders have the best chance of winning another game.

Panthers are playing well enough to beat the Cowboys.
Raiders could win against the Jagwires

I would be interested to see more play for Jaheim Bell too, he was pretty damn good at FSU

Me too. Only problem is that Henry is the leading pass catcher and Hooper has been where Maye has needed him when he's needed him to be there. Just can't get him on the field enough. My guess is that he'll get more opportunity in 2025.

My point was if the Pats, Maye or Van Pelt are in "Fuck It Season's Over let's see what we got mode" Henry or Hopper could take some time off.

Im pretty sure GMs and Coaches don't care about or even concern themselves with what Draft Buzz and Walter Football are saying. They 1. Asses team needs, 2. Asses player talent, 3. Determine positional depth, 4. Create a draft strategy based on that.

I can tell you with talking to some people in the draft world in the NFL they do pay attention to mock drafts but only by certain people. The ones with actual connections to other teams will sometimes be viewed to try and come up with what they think will happen before they pick. They try to run every situation possible but there are some teams that are better at keeping their draft plans quieter than others. For example when John Elway was running things for the Broncos info got out every year. At the Senior Bowl draft media people would keep buying him drinks knowing that if you got Elway drunk he would blab to anyone who would listen.

Draft buzz and Walterfootball do not fall into the category of reliable sources. Walterfootball especially is about as worthless as they come. The guy that runs that is the laughing stock of the draft community. He is an idiot.

And you think we are not?

Like baseball, scouts are being phased out by computer statistics.

Stats count about half or more than ability. If a plyer has stats, many training staffs believe that they can maximize his ability and possibly have a starter within two years.

They just don't have the ability to measure mental toughness or capabilities.

Where's Ernie when you need him? If I were the Kraft's I'd be begging Ernie and Scar to come back. Pay them a Kings ransom. Fire a couple of the useless staff if need be.

I don't know if anyone will notice the difference between tanking and not tanking.

With the Raiders yeah I doubt anyone would notice at this point. They just IR'd their best player and QB position is a mess with injuries. So even losing by 20 I think most would expect them to do that at this point.
