Time will tell I think the combine has added a twist to the draft that people were not expecting as it relates to O Line
A lot of bad arm lengths in the top tier. A lot of teams might go FA for OT and then later round for developmental OL

2/7/25: Travis is a large tackle that could compete to be a developmental starter at right tackle. He also could be a candidate to move inside to guard. Travis had a solid weak of practice at the Senior Bowl and is a scrappy fighter at the point of attack. For three seasons at Princeton, Travis started at left tackle before playing left tackle for Iowa State in 2024.

I really don't think teams worry as much about arm lengths as the media does, not sure when the whole arm length thing first came about but I'm sure the game has changed a lot since then. Footwork, strength and over all athleticisms are for more important. Today's defenses are lighter and fast and more agile than ever before. What would you rather have a guy with an extra 1/8th of arm length or a guy for more agile footwork and great technique?

I think teams just look for the best player they can 'coach up' and sometimes they probably get a little carried away with things like arm length and 40 time. Chiefs LT they drafted last year fits that like a glove unfortunately.
We've all discussed this at length before, the draft is always a crap shoot anyway. Some of these young men no matter how well the played in college and how wonderful they looked at the combine and pro days, sometime they just can't make the transition to the next level. So you Look for the best player you think you can coach up and keep your fingers crossed.
Josh Sweat destroyed thune in part because his arms were longer. He could get into thunes chest and waled him back into Mahomes repeatedly. Thule was helpless
Yep watched the game still stick by what I said. Sweat is an elite player Thune, mehhh not so much. No O line in the NFL was stopping that Eagles D on that day
Thuney is still a pro bowl level Guard. Well above average although the IOL play in the NFL right now isnt that good
He's long in the tooth too so a lot of the agility I mentioned have tapered off. And as you said IOL pretty sure that's where Thuney plays and we have been discussing the T position. Completely different
Thuney is also a Guard tasked with playing Tackle.
