Why another TE though? I do a lot of mocks and have had similar drafts less WR, I did one yesterday and took the DT first then Jones later in round three.

No way. NE needs picks, not one player. Too many holes to fill. Chances are the Gnats will still suck next year and you can go after Manning anyway.

Heard a comment this morning and it makes me think that the Patriots will e doing some real wheeling and dealing. First, Wolfie is going to do anything that he can to make himself look good. No better way to do that than getting a bundle of picks in multiple trades.

Jacksonville has a secondary that has more holes than Swiss Cheese. They publicly said that they were going to take Travis Hunter and then they won a game and dropped to 4th. The word out of JAX is that they plan to make any deal with whoever they have to so that they can get Hunter.

Here's the problem......The Giants want Cam Ward and will not give up their spot because the Raiders need a QB. The Raiders are looking at Sandrers of COL. So now the Jags are looking at #3 because the Patriots will most likely take Hunter if he's there.

Jags offer #4, 2026 #2 and #92 in the 3rd round for the #3 - Jags take Hunter.

Hit the brakes....................................Jets wanted Hunter. Now they are looking to get Will Johnson of Michigan.

Jets offer the Patriots #8, 2026 2nd, #208, #209 (6th)

This gives the Patriots the following:

1. #8
2. #35
3. #67, #80, #92
4. #104
5. #141
6. #208, #209
7. #220, #223, #236

Not sure who they'd be able to get, but having those three in the third and three second rounders in 2026 could go a long way to getting back deep in the playoffs. Then again, if the Jags are that hungry for Hunter as are the Jets are supposedly, maybe the Patriots could get firsts in 2025, 2026 and more from both teams before giving up #3.
