Patriots look like they'll finish the season at 3-14..........................BUT, wait a minute!!!!

The Bills are saying that Josh Allen will not play next Sunday against the Patriots in Foxboro.

How stupid is the Patriots' coaching staff?? Are they going to throw everything they have against the Bills and shitcan the #1 pick in the draft?? OR will they be smart and start Brissett ?? Stay tuned. Something is telling me that Mayo is going to do everything he can to win the last game against a team that will not be risking injuries before the playoffs. Mayo won't care about draft position, he'll be caring about saving his ass.

Ok, NE don't screw this up. Sit Maye and Gonzo. Let's see what Mixon can do. Play most the starters for one qtr so it doesn't look like a total tank job.

Trade down no further than #6. If things fall just perfectly could possibly trade down once more and still get one of the top two Ts and Graham for the DL.

I'm not as down on this team as some others. Granted I didn't watch this past game.

Hopefully, Barrmore is back AND healthy.

Yep, would be nice to go get a proven WR in FA. Bring in a vet at top $ that can help the team right away with his play and leadership. The current WRs would benefit from the vet needing man to man coverage. Pops, Boutte and even Bourne are not that bad and played much better over the 2nd half. Makes you wonder why so many drops early on? Was Maye's ball difficult to catch?

Get a LB, RB, FB and whatever else in the draft.

Then comes the hard part. Fix the undisciplined play.

No not SB contenders but certainly a team that could compete for a WC or playoff birth.

Plus there is still money for additional FAs.

At first I thought we might not get much if we traded the #1 pick. QB’s Sanders and Ward are very good. But both should be solid QB’s. I was looking at the 2026 draft class and it’s even worse than this coming year. Arch Manning is the only legit 1st round QB. Granted things could change. But QB needing teams (Giants.. Raiders.. Jets…Browns etc) may feel they need a QB now and give up multiple picks. But no way do I trade out of the top 7-8 picks. We could still get one of the top 2 OT’s. I do think we get Higgins. Gonna pay up the wazoo but it needs to get done.

Based on our team needs and the needs of other teams in the top 5 I don't really think it matters if we are one or three. But have zero confidence this team can beat the Bills next week

I am running all kinds of mocks for shites and giggelites. There is so much value this year and next in trading down. I have trade from one to four to eight plus 2nd round picks and still get a great haul.

I did a dream mock draft............................

#1 Trade to the NYG for #4, #68 (3rd) 2026 first round pick
#4 Trade to the NYJ for #7, #40 (2nd) 2026 first round pick
#7 Trade to ATL for #17, #51 (2nd) #118 (4th) 2026 first round pick
#17 New England Patriots select Josh Simmons LT Ohio State

NE now has #33 and #40 in the Second Round, #65,#68 and #83 in the Third Round, #102 and #118 in the fourth Round
#139 in the Fifth Round and #218, #221 and #237 in the Seventh Round.

If they can't make major improvements with this number of picks, firing would be the least worst thing.

Naturally this all depends on FA, the combine and the rest of the college season.

Personally, I'd stop after the Jets trade in this scenario. Take Cambell or Banks.

Staying with your scenario, I think I am more inclined to take Milum from WV over Simmons.

There is also a kid out of WVU. Wilum draft buzz has him listed as the number two OT. On a lot of boards and mocks you can get him in round 2. If they feel they can get a solid LT in round 2 I would take DT or Edge

Banks has had some problems with his ankles over the last two months. If that's going to be an ongoing issue, then stay away. Campbell, Wilum or Simmons would be fine. Especially if they could get Wilum in the second round.

Problem with going for an Edge is that there will be a real run on them starting with the Raders once the QBs are gone. I like my scenario of getting three additional firsts in 2026. Depending on who becomes available, the Patriots just might have three top tens worth even more than this year. Four or five second round picks and three additional firsts in 2027. It just keeps giving.

I just have a fear that Wolfe will be selling everyone in the front office on taking Travis Hunter. I think he'll split the consensus and Kraft will end up making the final decision. Again, it all depends on what Wolfe can do with $170M in free agency.

Watcjed OSU beat the hell out of Oregon last night. #71 Josh Simmons was not at LT. #74 Donavan Jackson played LT. If he's available, I'd take him in without as much as a second breath. He handles the edge and the edge plus an inside blitzer. No one got him to move anywhere but where he wanted to go. This guy is my new choice for the Patriots at LT.
