Game Thread: NFC Wild Card-Seattle Seahawks vs. Dallas Cowboys

I honestly don't know who'll win. This game could swing either way as far as I am concerned. A fumble or pick, or one big run or catch, could be all it takes to swing it in favor of one team or the other. One thing I know for certain is that if the game is close going into the 4th quarter I won't have any fingernails left and I'll probably be on my 12th beer. I drink fast when I'm nervous.

Fans of both teams should expect to be nervous. Either way I'll be OK, because I had no Super Bowl aspirations going into this season, and even making the playoffs that hasn't changed with me.

That said I'd gladly take our 6th SB win, and then Eagles fans can say Dallas overachieved.

Oh, the 12 caught me. Problem is I don't pay too much attention who the Seahawks players are, because I really don't give a fuck about that team.

I'm feeling the same way. Neither team was supposed to do much. I just hope it's a good game and we have some fun. A win would be nice but a loss isn't the end of the world. Cheers @Manster7588

I think of the four initial playoff games, the Hawks/Boys game will be the tightest.

I don't see any of them turning into a rout. All will likely get decided by less than a TD in my opinion.

What's the over/under on posts for this thread by games end? I'll say it gets to 1000 before this thread dies. And multiply that by 20 if the game ends on a controversial play or penalty call.

When, not if, the refs call a shit penalty on Gregory I might actually break form and post mid game.....

Yah it sucks Clark is a free agent. He's gonna be expensive as F. Hopefully he'll fly under the radar but I could see a # of teams paying big cash for him. I think Clark is a must sign for Seattle - if we lose Clark our pass rush is severely downgraded. We just need a decent DE to pair with Clark for the run. Was hoping Green would step up into that role more this season, but hopefully he gets the coaching/bulk he needs for next.

We HAVE to keep Clark, he's really come into his own, very good pass rusher... So yeah I agree, we're gonna have to pony up the dough for him...

Pretty much. I'm happy they won the NFCE, but I don't see nor expect them to win the Super Bowl, and to me that's what's important, not just a playoff win.

A playoff win and more playoff experience by extension would help the boys imo moving forward, even if a SB is a long shot this year

I've been a Cowboys fan since birth. Ive adopted the Chiefs in recent years as my second NFL team in honor of my MILs second husband who died a year ago of cancer. He was one of the nicest men Ive ever met. If both teams make the SB, I really dont know who Id route for. That being said, How bout them Cowboys!
