Would hate to lose Fangio. He might be the best option. I like Shanahan, don't care for some of the others. I don't think Quinn would be any better than Fangio, maybe worse

I wouldn't mind if the Niners took a long look at him. "Hamilton joined Jim Harbaugh's staff at Stanford in 2010 and was promoted to offensive coordinator in 2011 when Harbaugh left for the San Francisco 49ers and David Shaw took over as Stanford's head coach."

This^. IMO he is making a statement that if the 9ers don't hire him as the HC he will look elsewhere for work.

If I were Fangio and the 9ers picked some other DC from another team to be the HC I'd be looking for another job as well.

The 9ers could hire the best OC available and it still won't help if Fangio leaves. Kap is a derp QB who won't be any better next season...kinda like watching a chimp trying to get that banana out of the jar. If he has one read and he has nobody to throw to he just goes in the 'Derp' mode. The 9ers need to go back to the ground and pound running game with Kap running like he has done in the past. Fangio can at least keep the defense in the game. WCO or any other high-powered offense will happen with Kap as QB.

Yea I wish I had good things to say about Kap and I know that they didn't use his skills in the red zone for the SB, NFCCG, etc. He just isn't that guy.

Yes we have been a defensive team for the last 10 years and it wins games with dominating games and stopping the run and pass rush. The line has gone from being one of the best in the NFL to giving up the most sacks! JJ Watt scored more tds than Frank Gore! We need a deep threat and to get healthy on both sides of the ball. I agree Kaep needs to run more and get down and work on any throw longer than 5 yards. Play calling has non creative!! Staley hasnt caught a pass in 2 or 3 years!!

The 49ers red zone and clock issues have been here since Roman has been OC including the time Alex Smith was here. They could never really get those issues fixed.

True but my comment was more about those plays that failed and not about other issues, Roman will be gone but I'm not sure that Kap can make those reads was my comment.

Yeah, I'd imagine Joshy McD is gonna get a lot of consideration. He's qualified, but I think there's better out there.

Personally, I'd like to hire an offensive guy and keep Fangio.

Mcdaniels is an offensive guy. And to the David Shaw comments in this thread he has gotten worse each year. Is he losing harbs recruits or what? I say no way on Shaw. They are gonna interview between 10-15 people why get upset over one name? Lets wait and see who actually gets the job.
