Vrabel or Macdonald would be good choices.

Peters will need to determine how important experience really is.

Vrabel experienced
Johnson, slowik, and Macdonald are inexperienced. Johnson has been an OC for 2 years, slowik 1 years and Macdonald has been a DC for 2 years.

Seems those are the top 4 to me personally.
All have pros and cons.

Beginning to think it would be wise to hire a defensive coach.

It will much mor effort and skill to fix the defense more than the offense. I forgot we were the 32nd ranked defense

If we go Johnson we must spend big to get Martindale or maybe weaver.

If we hire Macdonald, maybe Arthur Smith or Ken dorsey?

I feel it would be easier to get a solid DC instead of an OC.

Which candidates are good up and coming OCs?

Maybe Shane waldon is available? He is the Seattle OC and might be out with Carroll leaving?

There is just something about Mike Macdonald.

He led a top 10 defense at Michigan as their DC in just 1 season.

In his 2nd year as the ravens DC, he has the #1 defense in the NFL.

The fact that he beat Johnson and slowik tells me something.

If Macdonald brings weaver with him, watch out.

My question for Macdonald is what is his offensive philosophy and who would he have in mind as an OC.

This guy is special. Not saying he is the next Vince Lombardi, but he is going places.
If he kills the the interview, peters might hire him over johnson.

The problem will be fixing our defense. The defense is in much worse shape than the offense. Posters are forgetting that. Johnson is the shiny new toy in the coaching world.

So far, this process has leaned heavily on familiarity. Myers knew peters....peters got the job. Clearly peters was the most qualified. Don't be surprised if slowik is the hire because peters knows him.
