1 game behind Vikings now, but would win the tiebreaker against them.

Otherwise, it's a WC game at Green Bay followed by potential road games at Arizona and at Carolina. Simply no way the Seahawks could make any noise with a murderous schedule like that.

We shall see. Right now the Saints are giving the Panthers all they can handle, must be pissing you off.

there's nothing to see. Hawks can't catch Cards for the division and the #5 seed is a must for any real optimism for the playoffs.

If the trend this last decade continues. Teams might want to avoid being the first team to face the team with the worst record in the postseason if that team is 8-8 or worse. You know a little something about though that don't ya. It wasn't so long ago that the Hawks slouched into the postseason at 7-9 and put it on the Saints in 2010.

Think if the Seahawks bring their A team they can beat anyone.

yeah, i'm aware of the recent trend and fair point, but still.. not in a million years would the Hawks rather play at Green Bay instead of at Skins/Philly/Giants.

how optimistic would you be for a potential at Green Bay, Arizona, and Carolina schedule? c'mon man.
You knows which teams are good at the end of the season. Packers already have been devastated by injuries. Not going to worry about oppenetents, just win baby to quote Al Davis.

Yeah, that is probably true, BUT Seattle is going to have to go on the road, so they are probably going to have to beat GB or Carolina on the ROAD anyway, if not both.

Bring it on!

I like the different challenge, and the players will be so pumped to take on that challenge.

Yeah, I can dig it. Something looks off with Rodgers right now though so if a trip to the frozen tundra is called for. This might be the most opportune year for it.

Then again, if Wilson keeps on ballin like he has the last 2 weeks, Rawls keeps runnin like he has since he's been in, and that defense finally figures it out like it looked like they had today. The only place y'all might not wanna see is Arizona.

Quick question.................what's Baldwin's status after this season? RFA? UFA? locked down as a Seahawk?

Baldwin needs to average 55.5 yards per game the rest of the way to become the first Seahawk receiver to have 1000 yards in a season since Bobby Engram in 2007. If he catches 1 more TD, he'll have the most receiving TDs since Nate Burleson had 9 in 2007 (Darrell Jackson was the last to have 10 in 2006). Not exactly who everyone thought we'd be saying this about at this point in the season.

Exactly. GB is running on fumes and it's not like Seattle didn't prove that they could hang with Carolina and Arizona, they lost close games and and seem to have righted the ship since then. The Hawks can play with anyone. They may lose to a good team in the postseason, but I bet they make them earn it. Any Hawks fans defeatist attitudes about this team just comes across as trolling and uniformed, not surprised by the source.

stating the Seahawks should focus on getting the #5 seed is somehow a bad thing? my point is that i'd prefer them not having to potentially play at GB, Arizona, and Carolina just to make the SB. that's not being a defeatist, just a realist.

And also THEY can catch Arizona for the division. Will they? Well that remains to be seen but it's still very possible.

Cards would have to lose out and Hawks would need to run the table. Cards have 3 more home games, including 1 against the Hawks who are already down a game H2H. It's just not going to happen, let's be realistic and gun for the #5 seed.

No they only have to lose 2 before the Seahawk game.

even if the Cards and Hawks both finish 11-5 where the Hawks beat the Cards on the last week, Divisional tiebreaker would be next. and they'd both be 4-2 in that case. so H2H and Divisional records would be a wash. next tiebreaker would be Conference record and Cards currently hold a 3 game Conference lead over Hawks with 4 more conference games left to play.

There is this thing called the playoff machine on ESPN and it disagrees with you.

ESPN.com's 2015 NFL Playoff Machine - Simulate Matchups and Scenarios

As you can see if the Cardinals, Packers, Vikings and Seahawks all finish 11-5, the Seahawks win the west AND get the number 2 seed.
