ND Quarterback: Kizer OR Zaire?

From what I hear both are well-liked and respected. It's not a question of who do you like more but who should be starting. Kizer is talented but there is a reason Zaire was named the starter. But it's a moot point. They'll have to compete next Spring regardless.

Until the injury, I never heard any mention that Kizer was being considered as the starter. Zaire was the much better runner and probably has a stronger arm. I honestly thought the progression would be Golson to Zaire, to Wimbush. I'm actually pleased that Kizer has performed as well as he has, but I don't think that he is as good as Zaire or Wimbush.

I have to go with Kizer. Kizer has more wins then MZ and he is poised. I like MZ potential and his ceiling is high but we have no clue how good he is. He only played what 2 games for us.

I like Kizer size. MZ is more talented but we don't know what we got with him.

Either way ND is in good position at the QB position.

Im a MZ fan, but for some reason like Kizer. This kid is showing me a lot. I think at the end of it MZ will win the spot. Kelly loves MZ. Its just nice to know we have 2 good back ups.

The real question does Kizer leave if he has a good year this year and loses the starting job to MZ. I think he would stay because he is at ND for his education. I mean he even said that he was 2nd guessing about playing football.

Also Credit to kelly for having Kizer ready. Kelly and Sanford did a good job with him.

They have done a great job getting Kizer ready if only Kelly would do a better job with his play calling and Van Gorder would make adjustments for half time.
