I know it's hard for an SEC fan to understand but ND means Notre Dame, just like USC means University of Southern California not South Carolina sorry chief they just haven't done anything as a program.

I wouldn't hold my breath on a blow out better to settle for a win, that is all I'm looking for. Clemson has yet to play anybody too impressive yet Wofford and Appalachian State aren't good teams and Louisville might be a bowl team but their offense has been struggling to get it done, I mean they made Auburn look good.

That was my very best outlook vs the worst. Yes, I'll take a win any way we can get it, but if I'm hoping, I'm hoping for the best possible result.

Done nothing? Except beat ND last time we played them. And Southern Cal, of course.

And Michigan.
And Nebraska.
And Texas.

All of these teams are on the all-time top 10 wins list. I have no problem enjoying the fact that we slap these bitches around while ND's been losing to most of them (3-7 in last meetings with Top 11). You don't have to like it, I don't mind.

Hard to believe these two teams have only played each other twice ... 1977 & 1979, with a split 1-1 Clemson winning the last one @ the Bend.

1977 @ Clemson: Notre Dame 21 ... Clemson 17
1979 @ South Bend: Clemson 16 ... Notre Dame 10

This game has the feeling of the FSU-Clemson and Notre Dame-FSU games from last year. Should be a riot. Maybe not quite the hype, probably because there isn't a complete dipsh*t at QB whom everyone hates and wants to see lose.

Erik L. Richardson I'm not worried about Notre Dame defending tempo. And I don't think Notre Dame is either. We have plenty of depth thank you very much. Not sure what team you are confusing us with??? We will see just how good Clemson's defense really is. They have not been tested yet and will get the full exam against a dynamic Notre Dame offense that is full of play makers and big uglies who want to physically exert their will on their opponent. Not sure games against Wofford, App State, and Louisville give you a great gauge of where your team is at, especially when a team like Louisville had a bevy of missed opportunities for easy points on the Clemson's defense. I wouldn't count on those against Notre Dame. Should be a good game.

I think this battle will showcase in imo two of the best defenses in the country...Both teams are loaded with atheletes. This game will come down to who has the better QB on that day. Watson should win that battle hands down but looked very shaky against UL. Both teams can rush the ball. With Clemson starting kicker returning after serving a 3 game suspension long kickoff returns should no longer be an issue. ND has been hit by the Injury bug but Clemson has had a couple as well that have been detrimental to the team. Both teams has filled in nicely at the key positions. My prediction is that ND loses this on in a close. Freshman Kicker has shown he is inconsistant even on extra points. Plus, If you've never been to death valley it's an extremely hard place to leave with a victory. I take Clemson by 7!
