Don't be a jabroni.
Last game of the season, hard to believe the season finale is here. Seems like the season just started yet here we are.
Not much to say here except it's PO time and it's looking like it'll be Dallas. Vegas is playing Anaheim and I expect them to win so they will be PD3 and the Kings will be WC2. IMO probably the worst possible matchup for LA but hey, they did it to themselves.
Crazy to think this team was 16-4-whatever to start the season and now will be the 8th seed taking on a powerhouse. Dallas is my pick for the Cup, unbelievable depth, defense is mobile, heavy heavy fore checking and Oettinger who has shown he can get hot once April rolls around. I'm not even talking the drop of points from 104 in 2023 to 99 tops this season assuming they are going to win tonight, I think overall this team took a massive step back this season. Blake needs to go regardless of what happens next week.
Hawks are just riding the season out, I think they'll put up a fight so it's not even guaranteed LA will win tonight. As the Anaheim and Wild games showed, this team is very unpredictable and a win against a bottom feeder is not guaranteed. I hope the Kings use this as a fine tune and don't crap the bed.
Kings going with this line up most likely, D pairings staying the same so Moverare scratched along with Arty Retardy and Rittich starting:
9/11/78
12/24/33
22/46/61
55/80/38
Interesting line up, while I like Jill not being so stubborn like McLellan his line combos can definitely be the opposite extreme. Buster as LW4 is a surprise, he's gone completely cold and I don't think being on L4 will help that. Also he needs 1G and 1A for two Performance A bonuses on his ELC to kick in which will carry over into next season's cap number. I don't think they're limiting his chances to earn those deliberately but they aren't helping him either. Bonuses aside, boy needs to produce again - period. He's looking like Buster again, I've already been seeing the chatter again he wasn't a 2OA and this 27 game scoreless spell isn't helping that. Stutzle and Co still keep producing for their respective teams.
Prediction: Kings 3-1, Kempe, Laferriere and off the board Turcotte, just so Kingsters can say "see????" even though he will score against Chicago. Then the real season begins and I don't think this is going to end well at all for us fans.
Let's Go Kings!
