Not really. I think they should have tried to do a trade with the Raiders for Carr. At least he's a good QB.
They got a decent haul, but Denver won this trade. I'm hoping there is another move coming. Because they can't expect to have any shot in the NFC West with Drew Locke as the QB.
Agree with this. I think this is one of those rare trades that works out for both teams. Seattle didn't have the roster to truly contend and have a top tier-ish QB in RW. RW was only going to keep them in playoff contention, they weren't going to do anything once they got there. Seattle pulled the trigger on a needed rebuild. Denver needed a stud QB, they have it now. This has been Elway's weakness as a GM - finding and developing an elite QB through the draft.Yes and no.
Totally depends on what version of Russ they get.
If it is the version that we saw at the start of last season, then he could be just what is needed to jump start the offense and make them a legit contender.
If he is declining quickly as I believe Seattle suspects, then this is going to go down as a big win for Seattle in jump starting their rebuild.
Time will tell.
For now, Denver did what they needed to do. They have all the other pieces to win now. Just have to see if it works.

But he isn't and Carr is LOL The Raiders should sell high now, they aren't winning anything in that division. The Browns have a better shot in their division and that is saying something
Suck for a year and get a QB in the 23 draft. It's a lot better than this one.
Maybe they sign somebody to compete with Lock?
Yeah, that is true. I'll say that, right now, the Broncos look to have won the trade...but that could change depending on whether or not Wilson declines and what the Seahawks do with those picks.
I could definitely be wrong but I don’t think the Broncos were as close as some seem to think. Fant is going to be a very good player for a lot of years. I say the Broncos will still struggle to make the playoffs.Yeah, that is true. IDK man they won 7 games in an already tough division with a shit QB. They had a top 10 defense and they have weapons for Wilson. Sutton and Jeudy are very, solid and dangerous weapons. It still looks like they have about $26M to fiddle with in FA too. Shore up those lines. I don't believe they are better than BUF or KC as of right now but they definitely look like a top 5 AFC team on paper. The AFC is tough though, a couple games can take you from a top seed to missing the playoffs...won't be easy.I could definitely be wrong but I don’t think the Broncos were as close as some seem to think. Yep.There certainly will be interest in Carr if he's made available.
I mean Washington had to do something.

Lets keep swapping for above average QB’s that aren’t going to move the needle much

Heinicke is a backup.
