I could definitely be wrong but I don’t think the Broncos were as close as some seem to think. Fant is going to be a very good player for a lot of years. I say the Broncos will still struggle to make the playoffs.
Nice depth at RB and WR, middle of the road OL, defense allowed the 3rd least points, and now has a QB. They drafted Okwuegbunam at TE last year and he's looked good so far.

Nothing at QB. Just stick with Winston BUT JimmyG is interesting but still, Winston is fine in the offense.

Some nice options at WR in FA but more importantly in the draft.

Agreed. RW gives them a chance. In the NFL, you're nothing if you don't have a QB (taking elite defenses like 01 Ravens, 02 Bucs aside). Denver now has a shot to be competitive.

Wentz is better than Henicke.

Heinicke is a backup.

62.4%, 209.6 pypg, 6.9 y/a, 27 TD, 7 INT, 32 sacks, 54.7 QBR, 94.6 rat (for a playoff quality team with a league leading RB)
65.0%, 213.7 pypg, 6.9 y/a, 20 TD, 15 INT, 38 sacks, 39.9 QBR, 85.9 rat (for the WFT)

Is that enough of a difference (if there is one, given the difference between the two teams they played for) to pay $25M more for, plus giving up picks, knowing that Wentz wilts with the game on the line?

Heinicke throws a lot of picks.

It's Snyder's money....LOL.

Snyder's involvement in any way casts doubt over the situation lol.

Wentz threw 15 the year before, btw.
The stats you're showing displays that both QBs are very similar. In Wentz's defense, I wonder if his problems are injury related as his body may be giving up on him. He's at least shown that he could play at a high level, at one point in his career. But recently, yeah, he's in the bottom tier of starting QBs.

Has RTK said Washington are now legit playoff & S.B. contenders?

I'm a Broncos fan through marriage, my wife's a life-long fan. Been to several games at Mile Higher Stadium over the years and have watched just about every game since the '10 season.

The Broncos have a good roster. What they've been missing since the moment Manning retired is a competent QB. And they just got who they've been looking for.

Barring any injuries to key players there's no reason they won't be in the running for the division title and should be a playoff team this season.

It also helps they finally fired Fangio. He wasn't a good coach.

Super-duper Carson Wentz nut-swinger extraordinaire rememberthekoy.
Oh, I don't know who that is. My take on him, I think injuries have fried him. He'll likely be a starter for a year or two, shift to a backup QB for another 3 years. Be out of the NFL after that.

RTK is one strange fella. Here's an example of BS he spews. He guaranteed the Eagles would win their final 8 games. But no doubt injuries have played a roll in CW's career.

He wasn't on anyone's roster when he placed those bets? If so my bad. Thought he was a current NFLer on a team.

He was on the roster, but he had been home dealing with mental issues for weeks at the time he made them.

Still a dumb mistake, not saying it wasn’t,

But it shouldn’t be treated the same as an active player plugged into team meetings betting on a game IMO.
