Based on what, 1 season at SD State? Lots of questions still around Lance. A lot of people expect him to be a dual threat, but he's only a functional runner, not an elite runner. Definitely mobile, but not going to cause matchup problems as a result IMO.
You could say that about most rookie QBs.....QB (along with OL) is the hardest position to evaluate for the next level from college to the NFL. Most of the great QBs didn't even attend high profile universities (think Big Ben, Drew Brees, etc..). Lance coming from ND State is a perfect balance of a smaller school with national notoriety.

But I'll say early on he's shown more than Love has, and he's been in the league for only 1 year.

Hell, anything better than they guys they have could make them a playoff team. Is Carr available? Hell, even someone like Trubisky is worth a shot somewhere, if not New Orleans.
The Commanders have interest in Trubs.

Except that it's already been said that's what would happen and the Packers have done exactly thatin the past when they moved off of Favre for Rogers as soon as they figured out that he could play.

LOL. It took them 3 years to figure out Rodgers could play?

They also reportedly are chasing Wilson and Rodgers. All irons in the fire...
Pretty sure Washington isn't on either RW's or A-Rod's lists. And pretty sure they both very well could stay put.

Trubs ain't backing up Allen for a 2nd year.

Perhaps, "was ready to play" would be a better choice of words.

Point is, they moved on from a beloved icon when they had a younger QB ready to go. I don't think Rogers is nearly as beloved as Favre was at the time, so they would have no problem moving on from him if Love could play.

1-1, 57.7 comp%, 8.6 y/a, 5 TD, 2 INT, 4 sacks, 97.3 Rat, 33.4 QBR (opponents: Sea, Ari, Hou, and 1 gadget play appearance vs Det)

0-1, 58.1 comp%, 6.6 y/a, 2 TD, 3 INT, 3 sacks, 68.7 Rat, 31.4 QBR (opponent: Chiefs)

Completion percentage, QBRs identical in very small sample sizes. Neither has proven anything to me yet, good or bad.

Trubisky is definitely intending to move on, that was the whole point of his 1 year image rehab contract. I can also see him landing with the Giants to compete with Jones with Daboll hired as the coach.

They moved on when Favre indicated he was retiring on March 4th (which he later rescinded and was traded to the Jets).

Well, Lance so far has a better TD:INT ratio. He also just completed his rookie year, so less time in a system. Also, Love in his second year and should be better acclimated.

Yeah....I doubt either will do much.

I wouldn't be surprised if Lance has had more practice time with the first team this year than Love had in two years.
