Facemasked and pulled down by his sleeve. Good thing that ridiculous no-call didn't ultimately impact the game.
The defensive players get away with so much at times it really didn’t bother me too bad

LOL. If you can't agree that was a horrendous no-call, then you can't complain about any other call in any NFL game ever.

He's such a lame troll. Only reason Cincy was up was because they missed a clear offensive pass interference on Higgins' TD

Other than that bogus TD, Cinci barely moved the ball for the entire 2nd half.

He will be over .500 when he retires and comes up for HOF consideration.

But, I don't think him being slightly under .500 matters as much as you do. Eli, Dan Fouts, and Warren Moon are all either .500 or just above.....Staff is currently at 48% and most realize that is a direct reflection of him being on some BAD Detroit teams.

None of those QB's you mentioned was 9 games below .500 for their career. I'm going by current QB's in the HOF. I'm confident in saying no below .500 QB's that have played since the 80's are in the HOF.

Not saying he doesn't belong. But he needs some more W's first. Here's a little comparison.

Warren Moon- 9x pro bowler, 1990 AP off. POY

Dan Fouts- 6x pro bowler, 1982 AP off. POY, member of the all 1980's team

Eli- 4x pro bowler, the definition of an average QB, he's getting in because of those two S.B. rings & MVP's (but he's not as good as Stafford)

Stafford- one pro bowl selection

1 Pro Bowl selection.....I wonder why?

Oh, because he played for the Lions most of his career.

guess the last TD would put a finger point on what you're saying...

Kupp scored that last TD twice. Was the holding on 3rd down minimal? Of course. Rams still could score on 4th. In fact, they did score on their next non-Stafford sneak attempt (wouldn't have called that on 4th), but two offsetting penalties cancelled that out. Can't deny those two penalties, holding happens every play and that was a definite roughing call on the hit on Kupp.

We can keep this going or we can agree to disagree. I just think his W/L record has to be a little better. That's the only thing he needs to improve to get into the HOF.

We’re talking about the 75 yard TD reception on the first play? That’s a ridiculous take from any official. First, it could have been a face mask. He makes contact with the face mask and the fingers hook a grab. But anybody who wants to dispute that can tell me how that’s not at least a push off and offensive pass interference. Horrible no call.

Clear face mask, and the receiver's other hand is pulling Ramsey down by his sleeve. Call the facemask, call the PI, call them both are all legit options. Calling neither is laughable. Should've been first down and 20 or 22.5 Bengals, depending on whether they call the 10 or 15 yard penalty.

Other than that play, the Bengals had nearly 0 offensive success in the 2nd half. They caught a tipped INT in FG range, managed one first down before kicking the FG. Otherwise? Very little.

He'd get in if he never played again, maybe not 1st ballot but eventually.

He keeps playing and gets over .500 he'll be a 1st ballot HOF'er one day.

I can only see one down side. Nice that the Rams got good veteran players. Miller, Weddle, etc. But when does mortgaging your future come back and bite them...?

Weddle was free (retired). Miller cost a 2nd and a 3rd in the upcoming draft, hefty but not franchise altering.

Rams have converted early draft picks into proven performers instead of unproven prospects. After this upcoming draft, the Rams owe one more first to the Lions (basically the pick to dump Goff's contract). The bigger impact is the cost to retain these players on your cap IMO.

For him to get a HOF nod I think he needs to get his W/L record closer to .500. He's 86-95-1 right now.

W/L are not a QB stat. Namath, Jurgensen both had losing records. Fouts, Moon, and Blanda were barely .500.

I'm sure Stafford has several years left with the Rams to get over .500. That won't likely be the stat to hold him back IMO. More playoff success should cancel that out.

Here's a what if for you.

Let's say Stafford spend his first 12 seasons with a different lousy team, the Browns, and put up the exact same numbers. Would you still be saying that a one time pro bowler, that at no point of his career before this season was called a top QB, is HOF worthy being 9 games below .500?

First of all, we have to imagine a Browns QB with Stafford's stats, which is extremely difficult lol. But I can guarantee that if such a player was then traded to the Rams and immediately won them a ring, the discussion would be much the same. Clearly, DJ is a staunch supporter for the ex Brown that DID just win a ring...

With Stafford's career? I would. You can't just ignore the organization that a player plays for. Especially in football where the player can really only effect one side of the field.

A QB can throw for 300+ yards, 4 touchdowns, lead the team to 31 points and still get stuck with the loss because the defense gave up 38 points.

Yes.

You're thinking I am just hating on the Browns when that isn't the case. I loved Bernie Kosar when he was with the Browns.
